Seems Orient are a bit desperate...what's the legality of this, though, given that 1,350 Unitedites have paid full whack?

Leyton Orient said:
Tickets discounted for the final home game of the season which has been made ALL TICKET for supporters.
Leyton Orient Football Club has slashed 50% off ticket prices for home supporters at the vital final home game of the season against Sheffield United on Saturday 25th April (ko 3pm).

The decision to reduce prices has been made to ensure as big a crowd as possible for the final home game of the season which could help decide the club’s fate in the relegation battle, while an offer for supporters that have already purchased is detailed below.

Orient’s Chief Executive Officer, Alessandro Angelieri, commented, “The game has become very important and I have taken this action at short notice to encourage supporters to come along and help support the team. We need the fans to act as the 12th Man as we fight for safety in this league and I hope that by cutting prices in this way we will ensure a big crowd that will get behind the team for the game.”

With Sheffield United already selling their allocation for the fixture, the game has been made ALL TICKET for supporters with NO CASH TURNSTILES in operation on the day. Any away supporters found in home sections will be ejected from the stadium.

Supporters are strongly advised to purchase tickets in advance of the day of the game via the online ticketing system at www.lofcdirect.co.uk.

The Football League rules have this covered Balham Blade

“Discounts or special promotions (in each case for one match only) made available to supporters of the Home Club must also be made available on a similar basis to visiting supporters..."

however it then goes on to state....

"...each Club shall be permitted to designate four (4) matches per season as ‘local promotion’ Matches where this regulation shall be deemed not to apply.”

Almost certain the away fans must be sold the same or the same as the highest priced tickets in the home end. I think we had a few away fans complaining a few years back at being charged the same as the Laver stand for a poor view in the Bramall Lane lower.

Just means that there is going to be more orient fans that are sick as a parrot at the end of the game.

Good news for all the Blades fans planning to go in the home end

Let them enjoy their £11.50 tickets in the Baskin Robbins Family Stand as Unitedites chant 'You're going down in a minute' to them.

Leyton Orient are facing their own version of "won't somebody think of the poor (Wet Sham) fans" at their expense.

The Shammers were gloating in the press yesterday about new cuts to ticket prices (funded by tax payers!), including big discounts for kids and 16-21 year olds. This on top of their announcement that they were giving 100,000 free tickets to locals as part of the funding package ("West Ham’s deal is, Hearn says, ‘state sponsorship beyond my wildest dreams") and that they've got £200 million of tax payers money (Hearn claims it is even more than that, much more, from a tweet yesterday "@BarryHearn Not surprised about West Ham season ticket prices but can anyone tell me why the stadium deal is a secret ? 620m pounds of taxpayers money!".

It is looking increasingly like Wet Sham will be offering Premier League football ticket deals that Leyton Orient can't afford to match two or three divisions below them. They can't possibly compete! You would think they'd take their incredibly good fortune with a slice of humble pie, until you remember which club it is; they are currently launching a "PR blitz to announce cut-price season-ticket prices" (Guardian) to lord it over Orient. I hope Orient take them to the cleaners TBH.
