Sheffield United's popular Open Day will return this summer to whet fans' appetites ahead of the new season.
Over the years, United's Open Day has attracted tens of thousands of fans and Sunday 3 August 2008 is expected to be better than ever.
Once again the players will be training on the pitch and signing autographs for fans. With the event being just six days before the start of the Championship campaign, any new signings Kevin Blackwell makes will also be on show, including latest recruits Greg Halford and Sun Jihai.
As well as opening up the ground to enable fans to have a good look around the Lane, the club is also currently planning a number of new attractions for the day.
United's Operations Director, Simon Argall, says: "Our Open Days have proved tremendously successful over the years and we are delighted to be able to throw open the doors once again to thousands of supporters.
"As ever, there will be fun for all the family - it is great to see young fans wandering around the ground with beaming smiles on their faces."
Open Day has always been an event jam-packed with fun for all ages of the family, so make a note in your diary to keep Sunday 3 August free to make a trip to the Lane.
There will be activities, attractions and entertainment between 10am and 3pm and, as usual, the event is free. You don't have to spend a penny!
