We keep letting these amazing goals being scored against us, allowing Mr Adkins to make the excuse "what a great strike, nothing we could have down about that"

Well guess what there is something you can do about; Close them down ,put them under pressure and don't just stand there and watch the ball

Watching the highlights a found some examples of where our players fail to put them under any amount of pressure.

The first image is a great example, it shows the player who puts the ball into the box which leds to the goal. It shows Celvert Lewin and John Brayford just watch the player and the ball, not putting a challenge in or putting him under pressure. Now some would say they're doing the right thing, showing him down the line. However there are 2 players. Firstly, Brayford should get a bit closer, he isn't forcing anyone down that line that player could continue to run into space because Brayford is nowhere near close enough.Secondly, Celvert Lewin should be the one putting in the challenge therefore if he gets beaten, Brayford is still able to put in the challenge, yet he just stands there watching. They both fail to do this, the ball is put into the box and the ball is passed to the goal scorer who puts it away nicely. Mr Adkins instead of blaming it on the handball how about stopping the ball before it can get anywhere dangerous?

The second photo, OMG you wouldn't get this much space in First Class!!!! Just look how much space they all have. there is about 4 players just watching the ball. Mcevely is completely ignoring the full back making the run. Hammond the Midfielder not the centre back, needs to be closer than that, look how much time and space he's letting him have. If he puts the player under pressure it may led him to panic or even stop the counter attack from progressing. Eventually the ball is put out to that player making a run and then put back to the player with the ball who has a shot and luckily Long saves it. But if it went in, Mr Adkins would have definitely said "great strike...". Yet again I think I've shown there is something we could have down before it got to that moment.

Finally, the last example I'll do, there are others but there are way too many and I don't want to bore you with the same problem. This example is after a free kick. the ball is knocked short to a player, then Jose Baxter decides to just jog out not even attempting to get close and put in a challenge, this is during the final minutes of the game and let me remind you that we are 1-0 down. Baxter should be running out the blocks getting closer and putting a challenge in or stop the ball from being put into the box. Yet, he fails to do this the ball is then put in, knocked down and any better and faster striker than Leon Clarke would have got there and put it away.

MR ADKINS, you need to fix this problem, this isn't the only game, we seem to always stand off the player and let him do what he wants, and all we do is wait for him to make a mistake or have a chance. This isn't the way Blades play. We want brutality. You may have noticed when the players show courage and make amazing tackles the fans get behind them, we don't like seeing players just stand there and expect the ball, we want them to go get the ball. Finally this is League 1 and frankly we should be the best team in this division so why are we basically parking the bus, yeah it's okay when we are winning but not when it is 0-0 or we are 1-0 down. Get it Sorted.
