Ah yes you're quite right ....... the filth won't be happy that we're featured on the EFL fixtures promotion page BUT DONT FORGET ........
The pigs will probably be the main feature of the Champions League promotional material as this is their delusional opinion of their rightful place
UTB & FTP
you REALLY REALLY REALLY hate the piggies by a MASSIVE amount
Not that anyone had ever noticed I might add !
UTB & FTP (just for you)
You are correct my friend ...... I hate those deluded, arrogant, scummy bas**rds with a passion ...... not just because they are the other half of the city, but because of their arrogance and delusional demeanour.
They do however, provide us all with the most excellent entertainment listening to the crap that they spout ...... better than most stand-up comedians
Nothing would give me greater pleasure than if the pig scum were relegated with the dirty Le**s scum this season, followed by the fish-man pulling the plug, and hopefully liquidation shortly afterwards

Because women's football is utterly wank? The reason Manure don't have a women's team?
.
The fact that they rip everyone off with ticket prices tells us that there's a distinct limit to his generosity.I doubt very much they will be relegated, but point taken - it would of course be hilarious.
I'm actually hoping for a season of mid table woe for the piggies - all that money and then nothing to show after 3 seasons would be good. Chansiri has spent a lot of money and still has a lot to spend - in present circumstances we have to hope he eventually gets fed up and calls it a day.

Agree. What tends to happen is that many owners think if they buy a club and invest in it, that's it. They don't have to invest more. Because that's usually what happens in business; you buy an ailing business, invest a bit in getting better staff and equipment, rationalise it a bit and it should become profitable.agreed, there will be a limit. look what happened at Villa with Randy Lerner - he spent bucket loads and look where they have ended up.
I suspect if they haven't been promoted in another 2-3 years then it will be back to the ladyboys in Thailand.

Football doesn't work like that. You invest, you get perhaps a small improvement in performance which translates to little additional income. You make a few mistakes, usually getting the wrong manager or the wrong staff who sign a load of players. You still don't improve enough to see a decent rise in income. You sack the manager. The new manager tells you the players his predecessor signed are crap and you need to buy more.
All of a sudden you realise you're pumping money into the club and getting very little in return. You've already spent more than the club is worth. So you stop spending and then see the capital value of the club decrease. Now you can't even write off your investment and get your initial outlay back.
This is what so many do. Lerner is the perfect example; the more he did, the more he got wrong. He thought that if he got O'Neill and spent some money Villa would get into the champions league. When they came close but didn't make it within a couple of years of trying, he shut his wallet.
He employed a bunch of idiots to do his recruitment and they spent loads of money on shit.
But he refused to sell unless he got his money back, and refused to put anymore in. It was only after they got relegated did he sell. By then it was too late. A PL club Villa's size is probably worth £200m. I think he ended up with about £60m. Because he wouldn't invest another few million to keep them up.
Ellis Short has just done the same.
And it's been proven in the championship that you can spend the best part of £100m and still not get promoted.
Owning a club is like owning a boat; the initial outlay is only the start.
I think Wilder summed it up quite well in his interview. The question is now: is the CW way going to succeed? I doubt we could ever spend (with current owners) like Lerner/Short/ex owner at Bolton/Chansiri, so at what point do our fans start........untrusting CW? Derby fans were very happy at first with Nigel Clough and 4 years later they wanted rid as they were just too Championship average. They are still Champ average, but a whole lot of cash poorer.
Can we do it on the cheap?

I think Wilder summed it up quite well in his interview.
The 'leveller' is the playoffs. If it was down to having to get into the top three, it would be almost impossible. Getting into the top six is feasible, but difficult.
Could we consistently get into the top six without spending big? Probably not. Could we do it once and go up? With a lot of luck, yes.
Do we, the supporters, have the patience? I hope so. But it does worry me when I read people talking about back to back promotions and the like. It's alright getting excited but don't throw your toys out of the pram when your unrealistic expectations aren't met. We have Warnock plenty of time though so it's likely we'll give Wilder time too.
