so we are blaming Hecky for Osbornes slip and Egans loss of control

lets face it it turned on those 2 errors

we were well on top till Egans gaffe

B

Bullshit. That was the same team and set up that nobbed Fulham last week. That one was on the players - way too pedestrian and indecisive in possession and left huge gaps in behind for forest to exploit.
Subs weren’t great but we’ve got naff all on the bench to change the game. To be fair, PH took Norwood and Stevens off because they were poor today. He’s not going to go all out attack in the first leg of a play-off and risk going 3 down and tie over.
It’s halftime and we’re a goal down…but we’ll have to do a lot better at their place.
Took 88 minutes to realise Steven's was poor and that Forest opened us up at will with Spence getting behind him every time he tried.

I think it was disrespectful to a decent team like Forest, to think we could get by with a left footed wing back on the right, in what was our biggest game of the season is bizarre. I like Osborn, but he only uses his right foot for standing purposes. With everybody knowing he always has to cut back on to his left foot...He’s a left backs dream.

Yep Johnson is forests best player and has said his toughest opponent this year has been RND, what do we do stick him on the bench, i bet Johnson was rubbing his hands with glee. I do have to question heckys team selection particularly at LWB and also his subs yesterday
Enda has been really poor defensively lately imo.
RND hasn't played for absolutely ages. Why suddenly put him back in because of a sound bite from the opposition?! That would have been horrendous management.

Especially when Enda has actually been considerably improved recently, EVEN scoring a confident finish in our last game

To be honest, I think you'd find he's put in about as many good right foot crosses as Baldock.

He kept his spot on merit.

He should have kept the job after he stepped in after CW departure, mistake was appointing Slav . Who knows who is the better manager of the 2 I know Forest have better individual players on yesterday’s showing.
Who would be your choice?Big Sam, Brucie, Megson?

You are probably right , I like Hecky he is a good bloke but he is limited as a manager but he is a much better fit than what Slav was for us this time this year

No of course not we should be appointing a progressive manager who we can/could have built a team around such as cooper/Huddersfield manager I’d even go for someone like Nathen Jones at Luton

You’re allowed to say Hecky has done a good job and also that he isn’t good enough to take us forward

If you’re not blaming Hecky for playing a 3ft 5 left back at right back then who are you blaming?

I’m not blaming Osborne because he is a solid player who is been thrown to the wolves by his manager 🤷‍♂️

Also Urimovic & Ben Davies are much better than JLT & bash at keeping the ball and playing out hence why yesterday we couldn’t control anything and got steam rolled 🤷‍♂️

I can’t understand the dropping of Urimovic

Stevens was awful last week, especially first half. He shouldn't be anywhere near a game of this level

Same Ben Davies that was sat down because he couldn't keep the ball or defend against Reading?

Same Ben Davies that was sat down because he couldn't keep the ball or defend against Reading?

Ben Davies has proven to be a far better ball plying centre back than jack robinson over the past few years in the championship

Both good players at this level but if you want to control a game of football Ben Davies is much better , we didn’t yesterday at all 🤷‍♂️

osborne is as tall as forests full back
what sky showed the difference was a picture of 4 of our star strikers all sat together in the stand out injured

if any one of them had been available it would have balanced it out more

but its not over yet a 1-0 and go through on penalties will suffice
hell liverpools built a fabulous return this season on 0-0 wins 2 cups and not scored a goal

so anythings still possible

This one is solely on the fact that we made 2 mistakes & conceded 2 goals. They missed other chances, but if you don’t put the ball in the net, you don’t win games of football.

We’re going into another 90 minutes of football with 1 goal to make up.

We’re still well in this game.

Agree.

We got in some great positions as well. Unfortunately majority of cross went straight to there keeper.

Final ball today was poor.

1nil down at half time. (Or if you want were 1 nil down with 90 mins left). They are a very good team. We had an off day.

All to play for. What will be will be. But it's gonna be tough at their place.

Progressive?Nathan Jones managed a “big club” at Stoke City he was a disaster, at Luton the expectations at much lower and to lesser extent Udders so managers are under less pressure than Hecky for instance.
Hecky has taken us forward, lowly in the league to 5th, that’s forward IMO.Your referencing managers who have won fuck all!

That was the big mistake, can’t for the life of me understand why managers play players totally out of position. Nothing against Osbourne but he was woeful yesterday both in attack and defence. So many attacking moves stuttered to a halt cos he can’t kick with his right foot, and maybe the slip could be attributed to him being on the wrong foot along with a sodden pitch.
Baldock and RND will start Tuesday

Now just think what your response would have been if he brought Baldock in after last weekend, and then that performance happened?

If you say you wouldn't criticise the decision, you're lying.

Davies, for understandable reasons has been a waste of a loan. Except for Blackburn

got it wrong today. Didn’t understand game plan and not sure players did either. Seemed to be roll it to egan and then I’m not sure what next. All options closed down, no movement and then end up in a kick it up field and hope a defender misjudges or something. Subs confusing as well. Dominating the ball and constant wave of attack and see baldock coming on. Thought fair enough getting osborn off so there’s a bit more composure going forward only to see him take norwood off who was starting to dictate the game for us. I’m not sure that second goal goes in either with norwood instead of fleck having to come deep and pick up the ball but obviously we’ll never know. Not shouting for him to be out or anything but just thought he got it wrong today and hopefully he fixes it for Tuesday now he knows what to expect
Agree it was on Hecky for two reasons - mental attitude of the players was wrong. Too hyped up, nervous and that led to them giving the ball away all over the pitch. Was thinking just calm the fuck down lads.
Second thing - we still do not have a plan B. All the time play it down to the corners and cross. How's that going to work, when the forest lads actually looked like a forest of big trees and made our lads look like the Borrowers. We were playing to THEIR strengths. Should have been using the skills and movement of MGW and Ndaiye to slip through. At least might have drawn a pen.

“Lying” !!!
No it’s an opinion 😐

What’s plan A ? Genuine question

Nathan Jones faced a similar job to what Slav did with us this season

Taking Luton to 5th in the championship and getting them through the leagues before that Is more than what Hecky has done with anyone

Won fuck all ? Nathan Jones won manager of the season this year 👍

Hecky didn’t deserve this job but has done a good job however he is limited and if you can’t see that then you don’t know ball

Yes I accept Baldock is not a great crosser. But yesterday Osborn wasted chances to get the ball in early yesterday, choosing to cut inside, more time than I care to count. This must be so frustrating for lads in the middle trying to get into scoring positions.

Manager of the season ffs 🤦🏼 We finished 5th.

We didn’t nob Fulham we beat Fulham who couldn’t give a flying and we’re so far on the beach they were pissed up on the pool lounger

What an utter load of cock.

We barely had a kick for the first ten mins, when Fulham were all over us, then we absolutely monstered them for the next 15—in a home to Boro / second half away at QPR stylee—and scored three goals with three attempts.

That knocked the wind out of them, understandably, but there were bugger all beaches, loungers or pissed up players anywhere to be seen until we got the fourth.

RND back in on Tuesday and a few early challenges on Johnson.
Bournemouth got stuck into him in their recent game and he disappeared.

We have played well about 3/4 times in 6 months Fulham/Mboro/Swansea everything else we have got by through MGW & Berges quality which is miles better than anything else in this league

“What an utter load of cock.“

You’ve not come across him before then?

Could have posted this in any number of (histrionic / morose / distraught) threads, but:-
When we mullered Fulham were they shite or did we actually out play them - assisted by scoring early giving us confidence & allowing us to pursue a (perfectly executed) game plan?
A combination of we were excellent and they were terrible.
Theyd been drinking for about 4 days probably. 👀😊

Not sure he’s a better manager certainly got a better squad of players, a team with momentum and lots of flair and creativity. We’ve not been convincing getting into the play off mix, too many players past their prime.
Yesterday we were lucky to escape with only a one goal deficit.
My worry is for next season and what type of squad Hecky will have at his disposal.
Felt for Egan yesterday, think he’s been immense this season playing every minute of every game(I think)
Championship is definitely our level atm
Egan error was kind of made up for by a terrific block minutes later to stop player of season Wesley from having to be Superman again. 😊
