When has he proved a good striker at championship level ? he certainly didn't look one at Wigan. Not for me, we've enough cover there, much more important positions to get cover for before a striker.Wigan would be absolutely mental to do that. Doyle's 29 and has gone off the boil a bit, Bogle's 24 and would be great in L1.
But if they want to sell him for no more than what they paid, and they have no basis to expect more, then I'd be happy for us to go for him.
It's not like there's an abundance of good striker options on the market.
Never seen him play but to fit in with our style we need strikers that can graft off the ball to create the high intensity pressure
CW and AK say they are no longer looking to bring an attacking player in due to Brooks or have I misunderstood the positions they mean?
It's been rumoured Bogle has been available ever since Cook took over the realm there, so I would've expected a snippet or rumour to have surfaced by now if we'd shown any interest
Not sure mate, didn't AK specifically refer to an attacking midfielder? Think CW mentioned 1 or 2 new additions up top prior to this so may still have a striker in mind.
It would be nice to add some pace up there.
He describes himself on Twitter as:-
"25....Maverick....I was born to stand out, I will never fit in"
He's apparently leaving Wigan after a bust up with another player and staff.
Definitely see him as a Wilder type signing and fitting into the dressing room.

One out.
One in.
Certainly as far as out and out CFs is concerned.
Something would have to give first.
UTB
Apparently when he drinks they call him 'Mullered Omar'
Anyone considered Cook's listed him because he's an arsehole? I'm not saying he is but he could well be. It seems odd that Cook doesn't want to keep a player who should smash the league they're in and that he's having to publicly tout him.
We didn't have to advertise either. We just sold them. It appears Wigan have had little interest in Bogle. If they had, we'd be reading that someone had made an offer.I would personally suspect that it's more a case of selling one of your high value players in order to improve the team in other areas. A bit like our sales of DCL and Adams last season.
You could be right though.

When he's feeling a rad religious they call him Omar god.
When he scores a cracker, they say 'Omar goodness'. Those occasions are called Omar days, blud.
