Yeah,that is a problem YB,i agree...It's fitting them all in,we've lacked goals from midfield for a while...Looking at our midfielders,there's only Woodburn who has more than 3 or 4 goals a season in him,and he's unproven at this level.

I don’t think anyone needs to worry about fitting him in. That will just happen. If he’s as good as we know he can be, then great. If he keeps either of Fleck, Coutts or Duffy out the team because of how well he/we are doing then, again, great. It’s a signing that should take us up a level.

One thing I did wonder was why’s he not even remotely close to the Brighton starting XI. And why weren’t Fulham in for him? Or a Cardiff/Boro/Stoke - or am I not giving us enough credit?

Do we have a rough idea of what Lee Evans went to Wigan for, our of interest?

The general view from Brighton and Fulham fans is that he’s in that group of players that’s
Too good for the Championship but not good enough for the PL.

The general view is that he’s upper end Championship standard, which is good enough for me.
I’d have thought more Championship clubs would have been in for him though.

I think CW was intimating that Evan didn’t really suit our style and the way we like to play. So Norwood must be more of a replacement for Coutts.

The only thing about Norwood I know is on YouTube and it looks to me like he is very Couttsyesque with a little bit more (only a little) forward play. However, that is YouTube and they could bring in Ronaldinho and I would still want Couttsy to be back in the side playing at his best! I love the lad!

McDonald and Cairney aren't a million miles away from Coutts and Fleck. I'd say Coutts is better than KMac. Clearly we don't have the pace that Fulham had in wide areas, but we should be able to control the midfield against most teams with those three.

Think that is the idea. To totally dominate possession and dictate the tempo. We obviously don't have the quality Fulham had last season but it's a sound route to go down for the future.

Terrific signing. A choice of Fleck, Norwood and Coutts [shortly] as a CM pairing, with decent backup in Leonard, Lundstram, Bryan and Bash is very healthy indeed. Stick Duffy or Woodburn in front of those and we are well set in there.

Just need some reinforcements upfront now.

If we could sign a striker capable of playing up top on his own that lets us fit 4 of Fleck, Norwood, Coutts, Duffy, Woodburn in the team. Bryan back up for Coutts and Norwood. Lundstram back up for Fleck and Leonard to add tempo and running as needed. Away from home that would make a lot of sense

£2m seems to be the fee widely reported now.

Given that we're agreeing it now rather than in January when he'll have 6 months left, it's a good deal.

It's one of those situations where you sign a player and he's immediately worth more simply due to contract length. That's why you shouldn't refuse to pay a fee to secure a player just because you could get him for free months later. We had this situation with Sam Morsy where we could've got him for 200k in January but didn't. It was literally a zero risk scenario. This is similar albeit not as extreme with Norwood.

He must be encouraged to shoot from 20 - 25 yards
He won't get the runners for those through balls we've seen on the video clip
If he becomes reluctant to shoot he might end up looking very ordinary when the only available pass is sideways
