Oliver Burke

I’m not sure Hecky would want him around next season.

He suggested, before January, that a ‘good transfer window’ can be as much about who you ship out as who you bring in. Which was interesting, and begged the obvious question about exactly who he had in mind, over and above the immediate suspect (our French hero).

Since then, more recently, when asked if the injuries to all our strikers made him regret sending two out on loan in January, he reiterated his observation about the gains that come from getting rid. Which, we might infer, means that Burke was one of those he considered a negative influence.

Could be wrong, of course. He didn’t give names. And it’s always dangerous to infer stuff from things that aren’t explicitly said. But his phrasing, on both occasions, suggested he had more in mind than saving money or trimming dead wood.

No you're probably correct though I assumed it was more moose he was suggesting

I'm not saying burke is a world beater but he is nowhere near as bad of our fans suggest there is a good player in there for times last year in the prem he was our most dangerous forward

If we are probably to be in the champ next season we may need him

His latest goal was funny too. Arriving into the box, unmarked, first time effort, full left hand side of the goal open (as he looked at it), keeper down on the floor to the right. He tries his hardest to miss it, slamming it against the already down keeper, before the shot ricocheted into the net.

Clean finish, well taken.

Now confirmed, Fallowfield is on something!

never realised it was a FACT Oliver Burke was our most dangerous forward in the prem!
You learn something new every day.
If we are being honest with ourselves, it's actually kinda true. Our midfield was so poor in creating chances last year that a good chunk of our chances came from Burke chasing the defense down. He wasn't going to score any but he certainly helped create a lot just by being fast.

Really??????

You seen that person in replies who states about his ‘good first touch’ 😳. Opinions in football are crazy as if you think Burke’s got a good first touch the ball literally used to bounce off him. 😂😂
First touch ain't bad it's the last one that's shite

I read this post without looking who posted it and thought that's something fallowfield would say... 😂

Really??????
Looking at the stats.

Passes leading to shots in 90 mins - 1st out of our strikers.
Expected assists - 2nd in team, 1st out of our strikers
Expected Assists per 90 - 1st in team.

Couple of caveats to that. The bar was bloody low last season so even with the poor stats he still comes out well.

Secondly, if you are judging just by goals/finishing he's clearly not the most dangerous by a long way.

But purely from a stats point of view, you can certainly make a case he was one of our most dangerous players last season.

WOW

FACTS

But people on here tell me he's the worst player in the history of FA Football maybe the usual suspects on here know more than the world renowned Red bull scouts at Leipzig

Burke has a better goals per game ratio, and goals per minutes played than Didzy this season - from a similar sample size - talking of forwards who don't score enough. And yet there are many on here who want us to offer Didz a new contract. Funny old game eh?!

Yes please Mr Burke. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out.

All in all, a huge waste of money and a rank bad signing by the Widler.

Opinion - Oliver Burke is not very good at football (shared by i'd say 95% of people who have seen him play for their club)

Fact - he can run
So can Forest Gump and he's probably shit at football like Burke 😂
