I genuinely think he will improve this season as he'll be coached around his strengths and encouraged to play to them rather than being told how to play. He'll also probably play more than 15-20 minutes and not as a lone striker isolated while the team drop deeper and deeper to defend the lead.

I don't think he's as bad as many make out and he was a potential victim of Wilder's obsession with results and winning. He's only 22 so he's not much older than Peck, Brooks and Seriki. I think the price tag causes most of the negativity as it came with expectation, which is not his fault. If we had bought Seriki or Peck for a similar amount and they performed the same as they did last season, people would be more critical of their flaws, which they did have, and they would have received more flack like Cannon has received. If we had bought him for only £2-3mil then I don't think he'd get as much crap as he does.

I don’t think he’s shown any aspect of being a competent striker, he’s not particularly shown any aspect of good link up play, ability to stretch lines and get in behind, he’s got a good strike on him that much is obvious. I really hope he can turn it around and develop himself into a genuine asset, under a manager that looks to develop players I think he might.

Besides getting 10 Championship goals last season...?! 😉 The same amount as Tyrese.

There's got to be hope for him being a success here. No doubt he can finish.

Scored goals for Stoke, an inferior team to us, where he was more often than not up top on his own, which he struggles with.

Campbell and O'Hare got a really good partnership going at the end of last season which Wilder split up in the final. Against York O'Hare linked up well with Cannon for Campbell's goal and I think Cannon will thrive playing with those two mainly because of O'Hare, who I think will be our stand out player this season and will more than fill Hamer's boots if we lose him.
 
Finally watched his YouTube compilation. Looks competent. Give them whatever they want for him. Announce Antman.
 
Antman would be an amazing addition, highlight reels can be misleading where players are scoring wonder goals etc, but his awareness of his teammates position and his ability to find them with inch perfect deliveries time and again, makes him a very rare commodity in today’s game and a hugely valuable asset.

The videos aren't wrong, he's a very good player, he's also played well for the national team 🇫🇮 when I've been to watch those games.

Again i am slightly (very) biased on this one.

There doesn’t really need to be one for a thread like this to develop. And then when we don’t sign the player it shows the club’s lack of ambition. You should know all this by now.
