I reckon Rifleman gets more right about us than Fab

At the time, I believe both were on their way. Wasn't it work permits that scrambled them at the last minute?

Pretty disappointing to miss out on McBurnie, thought it would be great having him back to be honest. Club has well and truly fucked itself with these contracts.

It’s the way it goes with football contracts these days, you win some and you lose some.

O’Hare on a free went for us, but McBurnie leaving for nothing went against us.

ah well, would have loved him to stay but I'd have been more pissed off had he signed for a club in the same division.

I, glad, he was crocked most of the time. Move on wages are better spent elsewhere.

Wonder what the reaction would be if he failed his medical then accepted our contract

I know something, our resident songsmiths better have a pre season, with all these players gone we're going to need some new songs.

for all those "we don't need him" types - who else is coming in, more shite like Benie Traore?

Exactly. People are lying to themselves if they're not bothered about this.

McBurnie is a proven Championship forward (as well as a good character to have in the dressing room). His contribution in the last promotion season was key.

I'll be happy if he moves on , not because I think he's crap , he's OK but not great either . Mainly because I've seen him , I know what to expect and I'm not exited to see him on the team sheet or coming on as sub . It's like a meal you had 100's of times. He's not going to get better or surprise us. Felt the same with fleck and Norwood, just bored watching the same old .
Always nice to get a new face , someone who you've not seen , the expectation and surprise in a good way as BBD did last season.
We've now room for another new face up top , all the better for it .

Let’s predict press conference Wilder ‘didn’t see is future with us’ ‘what can I do when players run down their contract’ fans ‘he was shit anyway’ ‘he was always injured’. Truth be known he’d have probably managed 15 goals this season in the championship

McBurnie at his prime is an excellent Championship player - always remember his performance against Burnley in the promotion season, unstoppable. However, he is now plagued with injuries and unable to keep fit and is always limping off. Kiefer is the perfect replacement and likely to play more games.

I think you may be right, he probably could have got us 15 goals

But that was before we signed Moore - who is the same type of player but better

So McB knew he would be playing 2nd fiddle, gets an offer to play against Barca and Madrids instead of PNE & Plymouth

We need a BBD style player to play off Moore, shame Oli's gone, but at least we wont be conceding needless free kicks every 5 mins from a stray elbow

Big loss losing McBurnie, and I ain't his biggest fan, in fact, I detested him.

But who else is going to head the ball now!? He was our best defender... 😂
