If you were going to phone the Lane for your tickets to listen to Betty in the ticket office in the 70-71 season, what telephone number would you have phoned (including out of town number)?

im presuming the numbers the same, but i was looking thru an old programme Blades Vs Fulham 6th feb '79 and the Blades Office Number was 0742-738955/6/7.
i dont think this number changed until late 80's.
hope this helps :)

In 1970 you didn't need to phone up to get tickets you just turned up and paid on the gate.
Very few people had credit cards in those days so it would have been very difficult anyway to pay over the phone.

bye eck lad wi dint ave phones in them days wi used to send letters by carrier pigeon . i used to keep a whole shed or em int back yard !!
