I recall one from possibly the late 70's/early 80's that went....
If I had the wings of a sparrow,
If I had the arse of a cow,
I'd fly over Hillsboro....
And sh!t on the bastards below, below....
I know the tune but can't think what the original song was called.
Believe me , it isn't .It’s the Tom Hark theme.
You tube it. A real ear worm.
To the tune of Land of Hope and Glory.

My guess is that it dates back to when the floodlights were installed because of the ‘by the light of the silvery moon lyrics.
I don’t remember before 1964 but my grandad used to regale SouthYorkshire with United songs from the seat of his Bedford Van (Drivers sliding door open to help dispersal of fag ash ) before then and this was one of them.
For me probably 1970. Strolling , just Strolling by the light of the silvery moon , I don't envy the rich in their automobiles , the motorcar is phoney I'd rather shanks,s pony. It was sang pretty regularly for a couple of seasons but very early 70s.You’re correct. At last someone else who remembers this (I posted above) so I wasn’t dreaming.
