Imagine if we’d have kept, maintained and/or replaced the old trams and network. How unique Sheffield would be

The original trams are before my time, saw the photos on FB and thought they'd be appreciated by many on here.Loving the tram photos oaklandrdblade, if you haven't seen them already, a couple of books might interest you.
The first is "Sheffield Transport" by Chas C Hall, published in 1977 by TPC of Glossop (Sheffield Transport).
The second is "Sheffield Corporation Tramways" by Kenneth Gandy, published in 1985 by Sheffield City Libraries (Sheffield Corporation Tramways).
I remember riding them as a child - we lived in Heeley Bottom and my Grandma lived in Hoyland Rd Neepsend. Mom used to take me and little brother there before going to work. I eventually attended Hillfoot junior school which was just across the road. Thanks for posting them anyway mate, the photos are before my time as well (just) but I've always had an interest in old transport.

Cracking boozer that.My mate ran it for a couple of years, and one of my most vivid memories drinking there was watching England v Argentina at France 98 and having to sit outside for the penalties, because after 90 & 96,I couldn't face watching yet another penalty failure, and probably started the decline in my interest in the national team...
For years and years there was a tyre around one of the concrete bollards to the right of the shops, that is an excellent photograph.
Does it say what road it is SEB at Handsworth on the site you got it from ?
I'm guessing that the house on the left and the tram are opposite where the current Asda is,the photo taken from where the Parkway is now, maybe.
