Up the Punters ❤️⚪️⚫️⚔️
No personal offence taken Ballers. I am a Blade and, by definition, have skin thicker than a Rhino's foreskin.
Given a choice of having dinner and a few beers with either Warnock or Bassett there really is no contest.
It's just that I cannot belittle what Warnock has achieved nor what he did for us Blades fans.
We were on our arse when he took over and it is undeniable that the club was in a far better state when he left us. McCabe takes a lot of credit for that as well, despite what people still harp on about and blame him for where we are now. McCabe stumped up a lot of dink - as have we all - but imagine what it would have been like without that investment - People with a wad that large and interested in Sheffield United are very few and far between.
The Warnock years were never really that dull - even when we weren't competing for promotion. Controversial, I'll grant you, but at least we managed to get back some pride in the team and our club.
I am loving what Danny Wilson is bringing to us at the moment and I would be delighted if he is our manager for many years to come. If that were the case then we will have a team to be rightly proud of, playing football in the right manner and being a relative success. If he can emulate what Rodgers, Lambert and Adkins (so it appears) are achieving then we will all be feeling our g'nads with some pride (lady Blades can feel someone else's if they feel so obliged - but remember to get the owners permission before proceeding).
