We were in for Marriott last summer but had a choice to make.

Marriott or Egan .

Wilder chose wisely.

Marriott is still on the radar though for the upcoming season.

He has the "vibe " that Wilder likes and will cost a lot less than some of the suggestions mentioned in rumour mill.

Agreed. He might struggle in the prem, and produce one performance in 6. We need players to turn up every game, its the only way we will survive.

Not sold on Marriott, but did look lively when he came on today. Think we should be looking at better players personally.

Always been a fan of Huddlestone but he will want too much money.

Agree with this. Bogle would be great. But they'll be looking for a good 10million at least.
 
Marriott. Thought he would do well at the Lane for a while now. Probably going back to when he scored the winner against us at their place.

Not interested in anyone else at Derby - they did only just scrape into the play offs so really weren't that good.

Why did Lampard not think he could last if he started him?

Bogle is good going forward but has much to learn about the art of defending ( was always touted as a winger rather than a defender ). His first season as a starter for Derby. 6 out of 10. Keep an eye on him though as may well come good in the future.
 
Bogle was wank, can’t defend and no good in the final third. He’s absolutely no improvement whatsoever on Baldock. That said he might turn into a good player in a couple of years.

Loan players aside not many at Derby I rate at all. Marriott is probably the only one. I’d take Waghorn for a good price, formed a great partnership with Didsy at Ipswich and we know Chris is a big admirer but I certainly wouldn’t push the boat out.
 
All of Marriotts family are blades although i'm not sure he is. We were apparently in for him.

Wouldn't shock me if we went for him now. At a good price though.

I think Marriott would be worth a punt
Waghorn Im not so sure about think we dodged one there especially at £6m and 30k a week or what ever it was
 
I like the look of Bennett. If Chelsea will part with him he'd be a good addition and can play in attack or AMC. Lots of pace and direct.
Marriott is a quality player. Given how much Derby paid for him he may be out of our league. I fancy them to go up next season. Lampard bought well.
Mount and Wilson both look lightweight for the way we play. Not that we'd be able to buy either of them. Not sure they have enough in terms of tackling and workrate.
McGinn would have been a great signing but that's definitely not happening now.

I agree, that’s why I said for the right price. Half that and id take him because we’re desperate for bodies upfront and like I said good partnership with Didsy already and we know Chris likes him.

To be fair - with a manager with more tactical nous, a team that will play with a bona fide 'Number 9' every game, Norwood and Fleck to give him the ball - Wilson would be phenomenal in our system...
