OK what Derby players do we want?

I like the look of Bennett. If Chelsea will part with him he'd be a good addition and can play in attack or AMC. Lots of pace and direct.
Marriott is a quality player. Given how much Derby paid for him he may be out of our league. I fancy them to go up next season. Lampard bought well.
Mount and Wilson both look lightweight for the way we play. Not that we'd be able to buy either of them. Not sure they have enough in terms of tackling and workrate.
McGinn would have been a great signing but that's definitely not happening now.
Don't think Bennetts owt 2 do wi Chelsea. Nearly came to us when clough were manager.

Mount will go back to Chelsea and probably sit on their bench or around their matchday squad, which is a shame because he needs to play but their embargo will ensure he doesn’t. I’d take him in a heartbeat despite being average/poor in the game today.

You’d take Bogle too but probably not in our reach.

I don't think Mount is even ready for the Chelsea bench to be honest.

marriott has been very good in the games ive seen & made huge impact when subbed on v leeds & villa

like others you have wonder if he will reignite his interest in waghorn. after today because their is budget cut at derby

Derby own Lawrence and Marriott
Mount is a Chelsea player.
Wilson is a Liverpool player.
I don’t rate Lawrence that highly.

Wouldn’t say no to Marriott.
Mount is a very good player

Derby have quite a few big earners out of contract this summer so I can’t see them being desperate to sell.

We wouldn’t get Waghorn for any less than Derby paid for him. (Not that I want to sign him anyway)

If we sign Jack Marriott, it will be the first time Wendy and the Blades had different players with the same name.

Some may say I have wasted 15 minutes of my life thinking about this, but there was a Paul Smith who played for United in the 80s and a Paul Smith who played for Wednesday in the early 2000s :)

Not sold on Marriott, but did look lively when he came on today. Think we should be looking at better players personally.

Always been a fan of Huddlestone but he will want too much money.
Huddlestone has looked very poor this second half of the season, laboured, slow and the only thing he seemed to be able to do is foul to "win" the ball

He was decent a few years ago

I'd take Marriott or Hogan to be honest, there would be much more to come from both players

How about Marriott AND Hogan? Pace in bucket loads.

Gregory or Madine (Plan B sub) Height in tree loads.

Sharp and McGoldrick. Craft by the shovel loads.

Liverpool have put a 25m price tag on Wilson. Mason Mount would be a good loan signing though to play in Duffy's role

You lot are doing very well recruiting that relegation team.

Let’s raid a mediocre Derby team that squeaked into the top six in the Championship to keep us in the Premiership. Genius.

Thank Pele none of you have the slightest influence on Tufty, Knill and Mitchell.

Lee Fucking Gregory.

Lee Fucking Gregory has signed for Stoke City

Mount, but he might stay at Chelsea or be loaned somewhere like Bournemouth. Tomori if Chelsea were selling for around £8m.

Any ideas then Pinch? Maybe not.

I'd be very interested in Marriott - he fits perfectly into the ethos: young, room to improve and value for money. Whenever I see Derby and he's in the team, either Marriott or Mount are the best players. Lampard's ineptitude can be measured in the lack of game time he's given to his best striker. He also fits into Wilder's philosophy of future proofing the squad: we'd have arguably the best second tier natural goalscorer not at the club, with the best part of a decade of football left in him. A natural successor to Sharp. That said, they'd have to be realistic with the price. Maybe half of the asking price for Maupay/Mcburnie.
Mount would be good as a development signing, but I can't see Chelsea parting with him for anything less than mega money. I'm not fussed about Wilson. His reputation derives from spectacular goals; his work rate and all round game is very average.

It’s not like average sides can’t have good players in a new situation or used in the right way.

I’d back wilder to get more than lampard has done out of them. Same as he did with disguarded players like wright and Egan. Or ones that made the jump up a number of divisions like Stevens.
