Are you talking about the blue single decker Wigmores bus to Pond Street boo? If so, I was one of those

I think Julian Broddle was local to me lived in the next village from where I was brought up

Jeez always amazes me when people get caught for things like this, even random tests are fairly predictable...

Yeah that's it. When games used to finish at twenty to five and you had time to catch the five pm bus back. If there was a delay in the game you had to peg it back to Pond Street.

So you didn't go and get some poppers prematch then?

He went to Dinno Comp in the year below me.

Nice lad and I remember seeing him make a surprise debut. I thought he was okay for a kid but then WTFDIK. Porterfield gave him one game then he was out on his ear.

Shame it's come to this.

I remember him playing for Plymouth against us. They got a corner and it was played to the edge of the box for him to volley. He hit it well and nearly scored. It would have been the goal of the season if he had.

Very sad.
Presumably means he won't be entitled to his Police pension even after 17 years of service.
I was there when he made his debut v Halifax in division 4 on an icy pitch with snow banked at the touchlines. He didn't play well but it was difficult for anyone to play well that day. Then we never saw him again in a Blades shirt.

Don't think they can deny him his pension as he will have partly funded it.

134 apps for scunny
77 apps for Barnsley ..and yet the 1 appearance for us and its in the headline....

People were quick to defend The Star the other day and this is the perfect example of how full of shit it and biased it really is. We have had Baxter done for drugs and trust The Star scrape the barrel to mention us in a bad news story relating to drugs.

The bloke made one appearance for us yet they roll with the headline "former Blades player" rather than "former Barnsley player". It must have really fucking hurt the ego of the editor of The Star when they had to bow to pressure and publish a United fan response to the Coventry fan letter.

Then to make an error about St Mirren at the end of the article says it all.

That's what you get when you move people from selling advertising space to writing "news"

Aye I remember that well

I used to catch the bus with 2 or 3 brothers (depending on who went that day) from the next street.
