Oh, SHIT!

I know he's actually been pretty decent for the latter part of the season but surely retaining J-Mac is an admission that we want a 7th season in the fucking third division.

May I ask who is underestimating, McEveleys' importance, Mr Adkins? ;)

He didn't say that anyone is. He just said that if anyone did, that would be a mistake.

Just how lowly a view of McEveley you would have to have in order to have succeeded in under-estimating his importance, is not specified.

;)

Nigel Adkins says it would be a mistake to underestimate Jay McEveleys' importance.

Now why would he even bring this into question unless someone was questioning it or the man himself needs reassurances? ;)

I expect Flynn to be praised in a similar article next week. Same old same old.

Ho and indeed hum.

You just know he's playing 40 games next season.

I am sure James Shield is kind to animals and loves his mum.. But I despise the bloke as a journalist.

Sycophantic suck up.

If he had showed the form he's had since February all season he might be in with change of winning POTS ( albeit in a shit team) I would have no issue him starting every game next season if he continues to play like this. We've seen first hand what spending big money on players in "lesser" positions gets you with Brayford. What full back has ever been solely responsible for a team winning anything. Him and Wallace are more than good enough for this league so lets spend money ( if we've got anything to spend) in midfield where its needed and not get rid of the "decent" players for the sake of it

Can't really argue with that. It wouldn't break my heart if we got a decent fee for Brayford and used Flynn at right back, or brought Freeman back. Or Bash there If we stick with 3-5-2

Maybe the journalist's question was: "what do you think were the key factors in the team's failure to achieve promotion this season?"

It's all about context...
