Just watched it again and their winner is offside. My immediate thoughts from my viewing point in the South stand was the goalscorer was offside and the replays haven't made me change my mind. Not an excuse for losing but didn't think we deserved the end outcome yesterday. Probably didn’t do enough to win but definitely didn't deserve to lose IMO.

He was, but the standard of officiating in this league is not great . However that cannot be an excuse for us not turning possession into chances .

The officiating is such a drop it’s crazy. Refs are absolutely petrified of making big decisions.

VAR chalks it off.

Now we miss VAR. 😂

Hes not offside. The player on the ball is infront of him

We'd be fuming if we'd got a goal like that and it was deemed offside. They deserved to score, they had 2 players free due to our players thinking they can officiate the match by throwing their arms around.

If Berge and McBurnie had been switched on instead of casually ambling back up the pitch, thinking about what wine they were going to have with their evening meal, the free man is adequately marked and the cross is cleared. Also, someone should remind Davies that he's not still at Liverpool, so any dramatic flounce to the floor after an opponent brushes against him will generally get ignored by the officials.

I've watched it a few times and it looks on to me. The bigger issue is that they have 2 men totally unmarked in front of goal.
Watch Berge after his header he finishes on the goal line, gets up and just jogs towards midfield totally ignoring any threat.

Even worse than that, have a butchers where our central defender is in that photo!!! For the avoidance of doubt, that is allegedley John Egan.

"Play to the whistle" became redundant with the introduction of VAR. Is this a hangover from playing with that shitshow for the last two years? Not that that's an excuse.

I'd say he's just onside to be honest, look at the distance to the 6 yard box

Its very tight....but where is the linesman? He's obviously not in a position to give it either way. Also we have 3 players on the edge of the box, marking each other presumably, whilst they have 2 men free in front of goal!

Judging by the Man City/Norwich free kick where the Ref over ruled one of the Man City goals no we dont miss VAR. Norwich player trips himself up, Ref gives free kick no goal after viewing monitor.

Definitely offside.

It was offside.
VAR would have ruled it out.
But then again VAR would've given them a penalty against
