It's so bitter in the wind I'm actually not too bothered.

My game at Goodwin might survive given a bit of rain this arvo. Fingers crossed.

Disgrace IMO.
They never heard of covers?
Just proves they don't give a shit

Pretty sure covers were on. Anyway after the Hartlepool debacle maybe they just don't want to make thesame mistake twice.

Im glad reallt, complete white out here in Holmfirth at the moment. Would have struggled to get there.

My source said they didn't.
If they did have covers, hows the pitch got waterlogged?
And Hartlepool played on the pitch without a problem.

Couldn't give a toss personally. Perhaps by the time it's re-arranged we'll have a couple of loans in and the new players will have had time to settle in.

We've asked for an update from the club with regards to covers.

It is awful out there though.

Probably a good thing having it off.No league win since boxing Day and a 3 straight losses at home the team needs to change this quickly another home loss on a boggy pitch would have been to much for the fans!

It proves nothing ,if there is a snowfall later as predicted and its unplayable ,is that ok for the Crawley fans ? The pitch is in an awful state anyway ,some people just like to maon at absolutley anything Sheffield United.

Theres no snow forecast till thursday night.
Loads of grounds have pitches in an awful state but they still manage to play and get the game on.

good.. thanks for posting the news
it's a complete whiteout in derbyshire and if this snow turns to slush and freezes later it will be deadly.. its starting to come heavy now .. big flakes.. you'll get it in half an hour

what do you mean covers?? they probably sold them :D

what's this white stuff in my garden then??.. you need to blame the dumb asses on Look North mate.. i've got the blog on with the club myself atm but even i can't blame them for the weather. not everyone lives in gleadless you know
you're going to get it in half an hour.. snigger

Joke snow will be gone should have seen the forecast and had the covers on, something tells me they wanted it off. We will more than likely be 7th after tonights games

7th after not playing is better than 7th after losing.

On the pics sufc released earlier, one seems to have covers on the pitch, although it is hard to tell

It's really not that bad around the centre and surrounding areas. All main roads are fine, the snow isn't settling and the forecast shows rain for later.

I suspect we've not made use of the covers as we should've and the pitch is now in a bit of a state. Disappointing but suppose they'll have more time to get on the training pitch.

What's really pissed me off is that it means I have to go to the sister in law's for tea, and she's a right annoying bastard.
