Of the Four Goals Yesterday

Coutts' actually, which some will be surprised for me to say. One of the most beautifully executed shots I've seen in a while.

The best-worked one was the 4th in my view. A fantastic cross from EEL.

Which did you like enjoy the most.

For me it was the third goal,Duffys second, all down to the simplicity/clinical ness of it.

And quality wing play by that master defence-fuckeruperer, Billy Sharp.....seriously, their defence was at six's and seven's, but still the perfect ball in for Duffy to get on the end of, great stuff!

Lavery's to be honest because it got him off the mark and hopefully it'll be the first of many. I'd like to see another from him at Coventry to really get his season under way and Sharp and Done to score, and then I'll be rocking around the Christmas tree. :)

Every fucking one of them!

Coutts' strike was a thing of beauty and as someone else further up said, he could quite easily get double figures if he were to shoot more often. He has a very good strike on him as I illustrated last season when I was calling him all the names under the sun. Keep it up Couttsy and all will be forgiven. :)

Coutts goal - what I liked most was that it was Freeman who took it into the box, followed by Duffys exceptional skill and quick feet, plus an excellent finish.

Must mention Laffery too - when Billy missed just before - It's great to see our wing backs making the extra man in and around the box.

I really love 3-5-2 and how we have very quickly adapted to it.

One impressive thing about the goals were that they were all scored against a team that had plenty of players back, waiting for us, ready, anticipating what we were going to do - but still being unable to stop us.

Maybe we've focused more about how to attack teams that defend deep. There is good and smart movement coupled with composure and vision to be seen in the highlights. In the last few games too many crosses have been cleared by defenders. For our first two goals we've avoided just hitting the ball into the six yards box to Sharp/Done, and instead found teammates a bit further back, but who've had space.
