odds of the next manager

I guess looking at managers like Robins and Wilson is just one of the things we'll have to get used to now we're in the third tier.

Personally I'd be very happy with Mark Robbins. He did well at his previous jobs and think he'd do a good job with us. Remember who got us out of deep do do last time we were down here? None other than Ian Porterfield who cut his teeth in management at Rotherham. Strange things happen in football sometimes!

We'll take more care of you......Port-er-field, Port-er-field.............ah, them were t'days...

An indication of how reliable these manager markets are - I've just been on SkyBet to back Pemberton at 12s. I was going to have £15 on and the maximum they'd allow me was £5.21.

They obviously aren't taking any chances at those levels!

I suppose these markets are only really a bit of fun as it would be the easiest bet in the world.to fix.

It looks like its down to three now (if betting patterns are anything to go by). Skybet odds this morning:-

Robins 4/5
Wilson 7/4
Pemberton 8/1

Everyone else is at least 20/1 upwards. Looks like you can pick the next manager out of those three. My choice would be Pembo if it comes down to that but as I keep saying, I will back whoever gets the job. Ex-piggy or not!

The positive way of looking at is that if Danny Wilson did make a success of things at the Lane, how sick would the Wednesday fans be!!!!

But they all want him to get it. Says it all really. Please please please dont give it to Wilson.

Which would make them even more sick if he was successful.

I dont want Wilson to get it, I dont want Peter Reid and looking at the original post, I definitely dont want John "Bingo" Hughes to get it.

But, whoever does get it will have my 100% support, there are certainly some laudable achievements on Wilson's record including being an expert at heaping misery on the Wednesdayites!!!!

Underwhelmed more so than any other appointment I can remember if true, and that includes Heath!

Totally agree, but all we can do is give him our support and judge by results.

That said, hopefully, its just a final bit of kidology to ensure that we take to the street in joyous celebration when the job goes to Pembo instead!!!
