Papers saying Hughton is a front runner for the job along side Pemberton. Must be lies!

Di Matteo was 3's last night....???????

Lets wait till the book re-opens again this morning.

a rush of bets must have gone on Matteo as he was 25/1 on Tuesday after McCabe saying that on the radio last night.

Looks like RDM could be front runner IMO. They have removed him to stop money being placed on him and left a 1/3 favourite so that punters think he is a cert to get the job. I have said a few times that I didn't think we would approach Di Matteo but now I feel he will be the next Blades manager.

RDM now evens with Sky, Pembo still favourite at 4/6 and Robins into 4/1 third favourite

Please no not Robins.

RDM.
Come on Mccabe show you mean business!!!

Yep and Pembo out to 7/2 and RDM at 2/1.........means nothing though, if there's been money put on Robins, his odds are going to shorten.

Robins doesn't fit the criteria though, no League 1 experience.

Yeah OK I'm clutching at straws.........but please God, not Mark Robbins.

Anyone but RDM, Houghton and Pembo, (would prefer him to stay with the yoof though) and we might as well have stuck with Adams.

Latest odds, (top 4) as at 12.30pm;

SkyBet

Robins 2/5
Wilder 4/1
Pembo out to 5/1
RDM drifting to 7/1

Victor Chandler

Robins 9/4
Pembo 2/1
RDM 2/1
Wilder 6/1

Short drifting to 12/1 with SkyBet, was as low as 3's

Wonder what odds you would get on Blackwell coming back?

Bit of money for Stuart McCall this morning, dropped from 25's to 12's with Sky-Bet

That would be the McCall who failed miserably at Bradford City in League 2?

I wouldn't judge him too much on that. They're absolutely potless and I doubt any manager could have done much better. That said, he's not a serious contender IMO. He's only been at Motherwell a few months anyway!

Of course Gary Speed and Micky Adams stayed longer than a few months........oh

;)

Ideally I would hope that RDM or Keith Hill became manager but I wouldn't be too unhappy if Mark Robins got the job. He's done quite well in his two managerial posts so far working with a lot less resources that he would expect to get at the Lane. I'm not too keen on his personality but hey we want a football manager not a would be comedian because we've had enough of those.

No doesn't fit the criteria cus he's worse than the tub of lard he replaced. Now what would you lot be saying if Davey got the job?

Dear Mr McCabe

Well done on such an uninspiring appointment. I didn't think you could possibly piss me off any more than I already was. Please find enclosed my season ticket.

Yours

Torrix

Interesting comparison when you look at those two.....one walked out to take his dream job, the other got sacked from his!

I suppose if we set McCall on he would leave us for the Scotland job by October :D

Latest odds from SkyBet, they seem to think it's a two horse race between Robins and Wilson

Robins, M 4/5

Danny Wilson 10/11

Chris Wilder 12

John Pemberton 12

Peter Reid 14

Roberto Di Matteo 16

Short, C 16

Stuart McCall 16

Ady Boothroyd 20

RDM was 4/1 this morning......!

Now the interviewing process is underway, i think RDM's wage demands will rule him out very quickly. You just know it'll come to the cheapest man for the job.
