Controversial I know but is this how everyone thinks of 'traditional' numbers in a 4-4-2 with a more defensive midfielder (AM) and a more attacking midfielder next to them (AM)?

4 and 6 are the ones that seem to be most interchangeable but yes.

Even further back, what about Ronnie Simpson? He had one of the hardest shots I’ve ever seen, comparable with Lorimer or Woodward, with the old style balls. He was a loyal servant to United during the 60s.
