Enjoy podcasts I'll give this a listen, thank you.

Very interesting - they have Fulham and Boro in autos but seem to think Fulham, Wolves and Brentford (1,3,5) will be the best footballing sides. Very complimentary about Cardiff (6). Pretty negative about Villa (7), Sunderland (14) and Pigs (11).

Our start against Brentford, Boro and Cardiff (5,2,6) looks particularly tough on their ratings - could be last season again!

Not really been watching Champ teams for a couple of years so it will be interesting as we play them to see how this analysis compares to the bookies - where teams' ratings come from fans' bets rather than rational reality!

Us at 9 and Pigs at 11 will do me though.

This feels so different from the last 6 seasons thinking about Fleetwood and Port Vale!!

The Magic is Back

It's a very informative podcast, enjoyed it when I heard it the other day.
They seem very impressed with our attacking fullbacks of Baldock and Stevens.
In fact they said that Pompey fans reckon Enda Stevens will be the best attacking full back in the Championship.

However there's already a thread about the same podcast
Started by Roygbiv called "Championship podcast".

A good listen. I started it about 14th Preston North End. The two guys were knowledgable and were a darn sight better than some I've heard on 5 live and Talk Sport.

Very complimentary about our performance last season. 'Probably not seen a team quite dominate a league this century.' 'We were in the wrong league'.

Something we all put a great deal of emphasis on is the 'Wilder factor'. Interesting they never mentioned him once.

They do seem knowledgable, one of them admits to being an Oxford fan, so assume he knows league 1 well.

They have Bolton finishing bottom in 24th place.

They said Bolton were a big physical side that often struggled to impress but managed to bully their way out of the league.
Said they don't think their bully boy tactics can work in the Championship.
