Along comes Saturday, and to me very important that we pick up 3 points at Notts County.
The team have shown that they can play, although I think they will have been more relaxed against Villa, as it was a nothing to lose situation.
3 points to me, are essential as firstly it prevents getting drawn back into the relegation area, and then it will build more confidence.

Really hope we don't blow the good result on Saturday, with a below par one on Saturday.

Working in Leeds, I have had some fun this morning, , The South Barnsley fans, I know got it Saturday night and yesterday, I am still buzzing, then I got thinking about County, and the Euphoria started to settle a bit.

I really believe defeat will leave us in an extremely tough position. I have to say, I'm very surprised and disappointed we haven't managed to sign a striker yet. I just hope we do before this match, I reckon a score draw in this one.

As a supporter there's nothing wrong with milking Saturday's win for a bit longer, as long as the players and management have got their feet on the ground. We would be quite a scalp for Notts after this week's publicity, and they have done ok recently.

We need to take the game by the scruff of the neck from the off on Saturday if we can, but be prepared to dig in if we have to. It has to be one of the most important games of the season; games are running out if we want try to achieve anything other than safety and, even if that is all we achieve, a good run of results would help to build a sound platform for next season. It would also help season ticket sales as would some meaningful activity in the transfer window to indicate the extent of the club's ambitions. There are 12 points to be played for in January and a decent goal scorer could make all the difference at the end of the season. Delaying dealings to save a few quid now may ultimately cost us more.........but what do I know? In Clough we trust.

I think that last Saturday will (should) have been a humongous shot in the arm for the players, management and fans alike and I thoroughly expect the momentum to be carried into the Notts County game both on and off the pitch. I am now seriously gutted that I can’t make it to Meadow Lane, whereas before the Villa game I wasn’t at all bothered about not being able to attend. Going to the Villa game was like SUFC’s equivalent of ‘Cocoon’. :)

It's important the fans don't ease off as much as it is the players. Let's take the Villa spirit to County (and even BDTBL next home game). Oh, and a song for our excellent manager please.......

I am appalled that we still have no striker at the club.

The last 4:
Oldham - Appalling
Tranmere - Good
Walsall - Good and Bad
Villa - Excellent

Notts County - Anybody's Guess

Patience, team.

We'll have at least one new striker by the end of the month. These things can take time. You don't have to buy your fruit drops at 9 a.m. The sweet shop is open until 6.

Yes, but if you wait until 6 there will be fewer sweets from which to choose.

On the other hand, if you spend all your pennies in haste before lunch, you might miss the afternoon delivery of some really tasty sherbet that another shop just realised they had too much of!

I've lost the analogy, can we just buy a fuckin striker please!

We usually get thumped in the guts just before closing time outside the sweet shop by one of the bigger boys who subsequently takes our best chocolate bar.

Very true, but this year we've recruited a couple of out-of-town enforcers to save our mint imperials.

Their street names are.... Big Jim..... and......Prince.

You don't mess.....

Exactly, we really need to win this game to prevent us from being caught up by the pack below us. Just got to keep focused on picking up the points to get away from them all.
