How bad were they? Coops did what Coops does and those couple of chances apart that has to be one of the most comfortable one nil wins all season. I'm usually a nervous wreck for derby matches but when I saw their team I was chilled as fuck. That was a walk in the park for us, we were better in every department and you really could see why the two teams are separated by 30 points. I know they're claiming a victory because we only scored one, and they're banging on about how crap we are and how we're no better than them but we really are. Shows how poor some teams in this league must be because I'm scratching my head how that shower of shit have beaten anybody.

Bannan, their main man 😂😂😂😂😂😂 was fucking dire, he did shit all and if they still revere him as their saviour then they're well and truly fucked whereas us, with some great young players are streets ahead. Seriki, Sydie, Burrows, Coops etc., great time to be a Blade so enjoy the rest of the season regardless. We've done the double over the Filth, happy days.

Oh and any team with this in it's going to struggle

Depending on if you’re looking at him face on or in profile, Callum Patterson looks either like a panto villain or a pigeon.

In boxing terms, they came out swinging but par a couple of decent attempts it was clumsy and largely inaccurate. We started sluggishly but found our feet and just kept them at arms length, until we landed the one decent punch we needed.

They are not very good at all, but it seems that they can do bits away from home, so maybe it's the pressure of playing in the old slag that drags them down. However their supposed best players in Bannan, Windass, Charles and Gassima may as well have not been on the pitch today. Only Patterson's shithousing and Smith's physicality looked like causing us any issues really. Defensively, they are woeful.

The best team, with the best individuals won.

I know we say most seasons how bad the championship is but when you consider these was in contention for the play-offs recently I can't think of many worse ones than this.

Don't forget they claimed a victory when neither team scored at all.
It was such a win they were throwing shirts into the crowd.

You have to remember that this is a club that has achieved a total of 6 doubles over us. Trouble is, 5 of those doubles came before the war - the first world war. Had it not been for Blackwell they wouldn't have had a double over us in 110 years.

I know Wilder said you could shove your stats up your arse, but you've gotta love stats like this 👍

Not sure how they've cooked that up.

We've been in the same division as each other for 60 seasons so that's 120 league matches alone.

I don't know where the BBC get their stats from, but by my calculations our record against Wednesday is W48 D43 L41.
That is for league, FA cup and League cup matches.
If it was just league matches we would be even further ahead of them.

In a nutshell 👍

There was a point in the first half where I think it was Patterson who took out one of our players who went down in a heap, and Bannon went over and high fived him. It was at that moment that I wished we still had Chris Morgan and Neil Warnock.

I don’t watch the pigs, but after all the talk of Rohl being a quality coach by pigs fans (and some on here buying into it) I was expecting a fast, counter attacking team that takes the game to us. Needless to say they looked like a mid table hoofball team. Not seen anything to suggest top teams will be lining up to take him off Wednesday.

I assume their stats was just for league games.

When you dig deeper into the stats that you can stick where you like - They had 14 shots to our 10, both of us had 4 shots blocked. They had 7 off target to our 4 leaving 3 on target to our 2. We only needed one of them that mattered. Rightfully Cooper was MoTM however I would have liked us to create more but was difficult with the amount of fouls they conceded, they gave away 18 to our 3 (bizarrely the same number of yellow cards) which is going to slow down momentum but at the end of the day regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season, not only a Sheffield Derby double but not seeing them score either over 180 minutes of football is another cherry on top of that red and white cake.
