Not being one for knee jerk reactions , and having time to consider last night's result & performance , I have convinced myself that maybe a draw wasn't quite such a bad result after all. Ok, it's disappointing that after fighting to get the lead and not being able to hold it till at least HT, we couldn't kick on and get the win . But you have to remember Brum are a decent side who have taken points off all the top 3, and are fighting for their lives, they were never going to be a pushover. Also it is a ground where historically we have never done well. Looking at it realistically 4 points away at Deepdale & St Andrews is not a bad return, under normal circumstances we would have been happy with that , it's a point more than Leeds got from the same fixtures, and we have still got a better goal difference. Non of the top 3 are going to win every game and we just have to hope that we can hold our nerve, & do what we have done all season. .

I really don’t get why anyone would be down and out after last night’s result anyway?

Perhaps weren’t at our free-flowing best and gave away a soft goal, but I thought it was a decent point from a tough away game, against a side who’d just beat Leeds. Four points from PNE and Birmingham is a good return.

We’re one point behind Leeds and now have back to back home games to take advantage of.

The disappointment for me was the performance, which seemed a little flat and the worry [if only slight] is that a lot of the team looked a bit off colour. Saturday needs a big performance and result in my opinion to put real pressure on Leeds and hopefully get back into 2nd.

If we end up 4 points behind them come Saturday evening we will have a very big hill to climb. As it happens I think we will have a very good weekend results wise.

Whilst we can dissect the games and look back on the ifs and buts, the only relevance now is the result in relation to Leets. We were ecstatic with Saturday's results yet disappointed after last night despite the performances probably being on a par with each other.

I think it goes back to the Villa debacle. We've certainly been more solid and less cavalier, for want of a better word, since then IMO. We've also missed JC, Bash, Madine and had to chop and change a bit as well which I don't think has helped. I'm sure everyone would settle to 5 1-0s from here on in though.

Given the fixtures coming up, right now it looks as though it could be a decent point. That is provided we win on Saturday of course. Even then, whether you consider it 2 points dropped or not, that won’t be the game that will lose is autos, the Villa game is the one where it will have been lost.

As long as we remain within 3 points of Leeds were not out of it as far as I’m concerned. The one thing I would say, if it does go down to the last day, which it looks like it will, we would probably need to go to Stoke with the race in our hands as I fear needing Leeds to drop points at Ipswich is a bridge too far. Until that point, given the fixtures still to come, I’d still have us down as slight favourites to come out on top at the end of the season.

If Leeds win all their remaining 5 games then fair play they definitely will have deserved, however I can’t see that happening.

It was fine up until the final 3rd, bar a couple of moments [one of which we scored from] but for me there was too much safe passing around the back, more so than normal anyway. That's primarily due to how Brum set up though, and they have enough quality to do it well. I expect, or at least hope that we will fare better on Saturday against a team with a similar approach, as Millwall simply aren't as good as Brum.

Happy beforehand with a draw and not unhappy after however on the night I thought Birmingham were a poor team, they may well have had some good results this season but as I say they looked generally poor last night and there for the taking but a points a point and happy to have it.

We were in total control 1st half without creating anything but then made the break through. Their immediate equaliser seemed to knock us and give them confidence until our late period of pressure.

Will it be a win on Saturday? I hope so. But Millwall are fighting for their lives and I can see this being a draw tbh. I know that will be disappointing, but not the end of the world or even the end of the auto’s.

Of course we looked capable of winning. 2 headers from corners near the end might have come off on another day, McG’s header across the box that might have found Sharp on another day. The free kick that Morrison intercepted at the back stick.

I’d say that they had the better attempts at goal (I.e produced saves from Hendo) but we still created chances.

We are allowed to draw and lose games and shouldn’t expect to turn up and win each game.
