Murphy is getting better and better isn't he?

From the scared, weak, player we started with, who looked neither like a winger nor a striker we now have the best attacking player in League 1 in my opinion.

He oozes confidence and is gliding across that pitch with the ball. Bout time we had a player that its a genuine pleasure to watch.

What I like about Done is that three of his goals have been scrappy tap ins. He seems to have the knack of being there and also has a bit of luck with finishing - reminds me a lot of Andy Walker.

I think we're getting better crosses into the box, the second goal last night was very similar to the second v Brizzle, different provider, same scorer.

And how many times does Jamie Murphy use that same trick, cut inside, ball onto his right foot and bang? Mind you, it's a dilemma for a defender, show him onto his left foot instead and it's a cutback for Done/McNulty.

Definitely agree, early this season we were watching 3 or 4 of those type of balls played in or ricochet across the 6 yard line with nobody getting near them every game. Higdon has a couple of those poachers goals but it is great to see someone anticipating the tap in and busting a gut for it every time!

Very unlucky for their goal, but that managed to change the atmosphere and give them a bit of confidence for a while.

Impressed by Jason Holt last night, has the speed of Scougall but looks to have a bit more control over what he's doing.

Agree fully about Murph - he is the best attacking player in League One for me right now, must be a right back's worst nightmare.

While McNults and Higdon have got the odd poachers goal we have had plenty of crosses into a decent area and no one has been there or they have been behind the defender. Done seems to have the knack of getting it right - and long may it continue.

Yes, as shown moments before his goal, he also tries getting past full backs on the outside, which makes it more difficult to predict what he's going to do next.

I think a lot of players in league one have great quality but they lack in consistency. Introduce a bit of confidence with a few good performances (as we've seen in Done and Murphy) and the consistency comes.
If we can keep the performances up then I can see a good little run coming together

Confidence yes, but also the right team balance and tactics that enable players to use their good attributes in the right situations.

When he's confident Murphy is different class!!!!

I love the sight of John Brayford galloping forward with the ball. Something very primal, stirring, and old-fashioned about it. Not to mention sexual. Oh so very sexual.

Couldn't agree more Olly, Brayfords all round awareness brings so much to our attacking game. Good positional sense too, knows how to support a move and make the most of an opportunity. JB was quality the first time he played for us, and now that he's returned home he's continued in the same vein. Class player who I'm grateful we've signed. Hope he see's out his career with United.

Quite liked the look of Holt too. Early days, but seems to understand what's required of him......and as for Murphy, he seems to get the number of his marker and then dares him to tackle. At this level he can be almost unplayable at times. Got to give Clough credit for recognising what Murphy, and Flynn, were capable of when he was appointed manager.

I still have no idea how Dones goal went in. Would like to see him try and repeat it in training. No keeper on earth would be able to read him :)

On little things...Turner's one-footed save was similar to Courtois against PSG last night - a match changer. Their goal was the kind of thing you can't do anything about. Pure luck.

But how good is Robert Harris's passing?

:no3:

Just how good is Bob Harris full stop. Proper full back love in at the Lane.

Not that one last night. Never seen a full back with such a "couldn't give a fuck" attitude.

On the other hand, if he lost his moisturiser or his lip gloss he'd not sleep for a week.
Was listening on Radio, David Holdsworth was doing his best end of the pier one liners about him

How did he put moisturiser on with gloves on?

Perhaps if I had been running around instead of standing still all night I might have needed gloves too.,.....oh wait :)

Correctamundo. I couldn't give a fat dog's helmet if they were scissor kicked from thirty five yards. Done is a nuisance in the box. This bloke appears to be a brilliant signing, six months too late. This (so far) is a Game Changing Investment.

Bring it on.
