Apparently Paul Walker or Radio Sheffield have spoken to Warnock and he stated that he is willing to take the job on from now until the end of the season no problem.

It would be interesting to see if Wednesday fans launch a car park demo in the event he's appointed with a "Love Wednesday, Hate Warnock" flag. I suspect that despite the dreadful position they are in, and despite the clear history where he's aggravated Wednesday fans (the jig on the Hillsborough pitch after the derby win being my favourite), that you wouldn't see any of the embarrassment you saw in our car park when Wilson was appointed.

You cannot knock Warnocks track record, he did a great job at the Lane and the Triple Assault season goes down as one of my most enjoyable seasons.

However, having met the man I found him arrogant and aloof and came away very unimpressed (unlike his brother who is a smashing fella). Ultimately it will always be the Neil Warnock show as he is only interested in himself. He managed to completely divide the support at the Lane, just imagine the effect he would have at the Sty!

No offence is intended , but you'd want to be pretty thin skinned to be offended by a bit of jovial banter between fans of our club , but I have never bad mouthed Mr Warnocks time at the lane , only the twat he's made of himself since leaving , could forgive the best fans , bunch a lads , club , I've ever worked with bolloxs in cockney land , but he dirted his bib fucking big time taking on them weeds fuckers from up the road and I don't care what people say in his defence that was The last straw as for as I'm concerned , didn't hear mr Warnocks interview this morning but it was a beauty according to other people on other sites tapping his foot to the pig band. Indeed has to be a wind up surely . Lovely avatar by the way .

I think you, and a few others, are merging the issues. It's a matter of opinion, though one I'd share, that he's a gobshite, egotistical, and loves himself more than us. It's a matter of fact that he has been (hopefully a hasbeen) a top manager. That's why I don't want him to go there.

In many other ways, such as the inflated sense of self importance, they are a match made in heaven.

Or are people just taking the opportunity to slag off a Blades Legend because the Press have linked him with another job that he hasn't been offered and wouldn't do anyway.

I never fail to be astounded at the amount of criticism Neil gets from our fans. People take him way too seriously.

And in that vein, I wouldn't put it past him to be spinning the "I'll take the job until the end of the season" line to see what noise / interest it generates, safe in the knowledge that if they don't come calling he can always say that he couldn't bring himself to apply because he's a Blade through and through.
