Not good enough

We’re still formulaic...we never rely on individual ability....but that formula has been excellent for years.

I don’t think we can be too critical based on today and last week.
We all agree we were excellent last season but in our last 2 games (playing Liverpool and Man City) we’ve been better this season than last season.

The real time to judge is after the November fixtures. Lets hope we find our mojo and go on a good run.

Injuries, new players, lack of pre season, if we can see it Wilder can see it, though if you don't see how Berge has creativity or skill I do wonder what you are watching.

We have players who can do all that, they are just short of confidence right now, at times we looked amazing, just lacked the final ball or instead of whipping it in early tried to get down the wings which where always covered by 2 or 3 men

Wilder will do something about it, it only takes a couple of wins and everything looks massively different for us.

Will wilder do something about it? Is it now 9 or 10 games since a win and only one draw. ?(maybe more, I have not checked) . The lack of positive football is worrying. At some stage the manager has to be questioned with regards to player selection and tactics

All Wilder is proving at the minute is that he isn't good with money.

This transfer window was meant to improve the squad and we haven't.
Agree just another Warnock spending money on a load of shit. Only 2 what turned out to be decent is Berge and Moose. Maybe Ramsdale too

That continuous retort is wearing a bit thin now...its not like hes had a Norwich like budget is it? That was the most expensive starting 11 in our history.

We know we are up against it when we play the top teams its the performances we are putting in thst are disappointing. No urgency, no real fight, lack of confidence, no movement up front and only Berge who looks a cut above.

Yeah why aren't we top already ffs Wilder out eh 😐

You seem to be ignoring the positives, big difference, we aren't exactly a 100m pound team like Man City or Liverpool are we. We are in our second season, we have had a lot of bad luck so far already this season, but you aren't looking at any of that, just looking at how many we haven't won.

Like I say it only takes a couple of good results and everything looks different, if you don't think Wilder can't see what we see then more fool you, I guess that's the respect he gets after turning us from League 1 to here.

We didn't help ourselves today with the slowness of our build up play. Sometimes you need to get the ball in quicker and give your forwards something to try and get on the end of.

Our attacking tempo is ridiculously slow and we have to be invited to have the audacity to put a cross in their box. Even the commentators were baffled with how many times we turned down the opportunity to put the ball in their box. Really frustrating.

Mate. There’s optimism and then there’s wilful ignorance

Look at the results from the last few games if last season. We have spent over 100 million on players. We are playing negative football and losing most games with a whimper with very few shots on target or chances created. Who is responsible for this?

Indeed. Just when you thought the season couldn't get any lower... Kyle Walker smashes the winner. I'm devastated. Not quite David Unsworth devastated. But yeah that hurt and you could see it happening when the ball came to him. Quite a lot of goals we've conceded have been so obvious.

Why does it look like United are running in custard? No umph! Common theme so far.

Does anyone else get really annoyed when the team gets into a good position, then inexplicably play the ball all the way back to the centre half who then hoofs it and we lose the 2nd ball. Poor old Basham ends up a lot of the time running forward for no reason, for him to jog back and somehow get back in time to make tackles.

One player that still really stands out is Berge. Imo I think he's too good for us.

I'm not really sure how we only lost by one goal, Ramsdale with his unorthodox goalkeeping saved us in truth. Overall the match wasn't BAD for the whole 35% of the possession we had, most of the time was spent passing from one defender to another. I was kind of thinking as the match approached 90 mins that if we score I'm gonna be a bit annoyed anyway, as they would have spent the entirety of the match for ONE clinical attack... Why not play like that when we go a goal down? Or even from the first whistle? Also for all the attacking and crosses we do on both wings, someone seriously needs to get beyond that far post... never anyone there.

last season Fleck & JOC were my stand out players. They are a massive loss but considering they were both injured at the end of last season, you'd think both positions would have been a priority.
Poor transfer business me thinks. Enda did ok at centre half in the Championship but way out of his depth in Prem. We are literally zero threat down the left where we were so good.

Worried , very worried

We played today more or less the same way as we did against City home and away last season and v Liverpool away last season even with the fans and we were playing well. We only really gave it a go v Liverpool at home. It’s how we respond against the ‘lesser’ teams that’ll define our season, not world class teams.
