Norwood - Guedioura before his op, Berge is we can get him fit, someone from the U23s?

Think this is the problem. SJ is criticised for picking them but the alternative, other than replacing in them in the window is an ageing Guedioura, an injured Berge, not great so far (albeit with limited opportunity) Hourihane or out of position Freeman or Osborn. Think the only option is to take a risk and re-jig things but if he tries it and I it doesn’t work he’ll get the “lost he plot” treatment

Watching Norwood drop into the back line to pick another ball up off the defenders only to turn around play it sideways or backwards is really boring.

There is no solution with the players we have. Got to give Slav time to bring in his own players to play the style that he want's to play. Only then, if it doesn't improve, then move him on.

Wonder if Norwood and Fleck could perform with a number 10 in front of them and 3 centre halves behind them? You know, like we saw them excel at this level.

It’s just a shame that he’s not as effective when he’s waving a leg at their players on the edge of our box and allowing them to shoot week in week out.

If he’s a playmaker he’s not doing a very good job, albeit the movement in front of him is absolutely abysmal.

He’s a luxury we don’t need at the moment, we need an horrible fucker who can stop the opposition playing and then someone who can actually make progress with passing and/or dribbling at the side of them.

Norwood does neither of these.

If we got one of those players and Norwood started to pass the ball a bit quicker and progressed play forwards from time to time it would be a massive improvement. I’d rather have someone like Daniel Johnson or Billing alongside a shithouse though.

I still stand by the opinion that Norwood will be fine with a competent midfielder next to him. Fleck is essentially an empty shirt. Most games it’s like Norwood is the only person in the middle.

The comparison between the 2 teams we saw today, where every single time rovers won the ball there were 2 or 3 runners busting a guy to get forward, in that team Norwood would be amazing, he could destroy teams, in our team when we win the ball every player is static, meaning Norwood has no one to find so he has to play sideways and backwards, so stop blaming Norwood and start blaming the rest of the team for being bone idle, uninterested slackers
