They were the main positives to take from that.
Norwood adds clear quality and he's going to be the one we look to give the ball to in the coming weeks, as was the case with Coutts before. He's a big improvement on Lee Evans.
The change to 4-3-3 / 4-3-1-2 when Basham came on worked well. Wilder didn't hesitate to make that change and it gives me hope we'll see that in league games, possibly from the start. What we had there but with Coutts in for Basham and Duffy for Woodburn has a lot of potential.
We threatened from every corner and it's ridiculous we didn't score from at least one. Norwood's delivery was the main difference, although it should be pointed out that Hull weren't the strongest aerially.
Woodburn was the main disappointment. Had a good chance to impress and failed. He's rightly going to be compared with Brooks, and on the evidence so far he's inferior - and he's not even ours to keep and develop.
Also, that Wilder even feels the need to start Clarke in a cup game highlights how reliant on him we'll be and that we need to sign proper competition for him. Especially when he's out of form, as he is now.
