Happy with that lineup. Tough on the lads who have been benched but things needed a freshen up and the new lads deserve a chance as well. I think everyone will get a fair crack on the whip.

That bench won't make pleasant reading for the Norwich defence either.

Just means that the competition is tougher. Fair play that Duffy gets dropped after Friday, can't be complacent even after the season he's had

When did our bench look as good as that, tough on the three lads dropped to the bench but it wont hurt them to have a break, the best teams in every league have to make these tough desicions all the time, its all about the squad and our squad looks good, in Wilder (and Knill) we trust.

Looks like we are lining up in the same formation that produced arguably our best 2 performances this season. (Hillsborough and Wolves H) Leonard playing in the role Basham did, Evans for Coutts and Wilson as a second striker ala Brooks. New players have to take their opportunity now.

Don't see a situation where Sharp gets off the bench with this set up

interesting team news & fascinated o see how it turns out with Donaldson Duffy & Lundstram dropped for 3 debutants Leonard Evans & wilson. But anytime duffy is dropped it worries me

In fairness, you'd have to say, why bring players in if they're not an improvement on what's already here? That being the case, we shouldn't be surprised to see the new lads being integrated so quickly. UTB

I'm presuming there will be no one in the Duffy role, but a midfield 3 instead. It might mean we struggle for creativity. We will be more reliant on width.
Expect Wilson to fill the hole.

Duffy and Lundstram can't complain, we've been lacking in the last 10 games only 7pts and we need a cutting edge, let's hope this works out. May not be fluid to start so we'll need to be patient, like a new midfield.

I was trying to explain that in earlier threads but the bleeding hearts in the Lundstram fan club weren't having any of it. They all thought the new signings were being brought in as "back up" to him, ffs.

Like the look of that starting line up. Phyical and solid enough on paper, wear em out, then when they tire after their midweek efforts we freshen it up and stick Duffy, Holmes and either big Clayton or Sharp on after 60 -75 mins and run over the top of them like a big fuk off blades panzer tank. I like it. I like it alot.

Chris and Alan have been watching these guys a long time. they know exactly what they want them for..

Agree. Duffs has been off the pace recently, and Lundstram has been neat and tidy but lacked any sort of positivity or forward looking balls in recent games.

Like Lundy and love Duffy but as you say they can have no complaints at being left.out today and they need to show what they are about in training and from the bench.

A healthy squad is a competitive squad.
