The problem today was we had around 7 players out BUT none of our fringe players can say they are pushing for a first team place. This all goes back to last summers recruitment! We don’t need squad players, every player at the the club should be capable of playing... the truth is that can’t!!!

The first choice midfield three of Coutts, Fleck and Duffy would walk into almost any team in this division.

Sadly the back up midfield players would struggle to get in the Bolton side.

In a strange way it’s good that this injury crisis has come before the widow, at least now CW knows that they are not good enough, Yer we have been very unlucky, every club have some problems but to lose so many in such a small space of time is killing us.

Perhaps the statement ‘good’ is not what I would wish for :/ never a good time for player injuries!
