So let me get this straight in my head. The players Nigel wants to bring in have to have been playing recently and it is suggested that the 3 bids were for championship players, however we are not willing to pay over the odds for the championship teams to let these players go?

Anyone else see a flaw in the process?

Anything come out about who the three targets were?
One sounds like the 31year old from Blackpool? Who's name escapes me.
But I've not heard a thing about the other two.
Clough says there's a chance of getting at least one of the three on loan now too

Seriously... not sure. If Hunt is fit then maybe. But not sure he's ever been a prolific goalscorer?
 
Just 97 goals in 390 games and 0 goals in 20 games at his current club L**ds. Got to be better options out there.
 
He was offered to us in August, Clough didn't want him then and I doubt anything will have changed that since.

Not too sure about any of his other clubs, but he played out wide a lot for Dundee United. The record doesn't really inspire if he'd spent his whole career up top, but I'm guessing he's played out wide a lot so it's perhaps not such a bad record.

Having said that, I still wouldn't fancy him at the Lane. Not the type of player we should be looking for, long term.
 
Really can't see this one happening but if it does it will be up there with the signing of King in terms of desperation
 
He'd work hard uptop if we signed him that's for sure but I'm not so sure how clinical he'd be, however this is his goal recently in their U21's win vs. Doncaster
