The most ridiculous headline I've seen in a while. That is absolutely NOT what Wilder has said. You do realise half of our players could be labelled "journeymen"? The players even made a song with a line about how they were called "journeymen", for Christ's sake. It's one of the laziest lines you can possibly use to denigrate a player. Apologies BritishSteel, not necessarily aimed at you, but that headline has wound me up!
The article is about what he wants to do this coming season , not what has gone before.
As for you claiming it is not what Chris has said , I would think the fact that he has been directly quoted saying it by James Shield and then allowing it to go to print would suggest otherwise.
I agree, he didn't say that word. He also goes on to say that it will be the same approach as the last 3 years, but just with better (journeymen) players. The article is about what he wants to do this coming season , not what has gone before.

Have you read the article? He literally says "it will be the same approach as over the last three years. Just with better players." And nowhere does Wilder say "journeyman".
I thought I would share the article as it does reveal some insight into the recruitment process for the coming season. It says that Wilder is looking at "Assets who can grow with the club " . This would suggest he will not be looking at " expensive one season wonders " as said earlier in the article.
If you have a problem with James Shield using the word "Journeymen" then take it up with him.
I am sure that if Chris had a problem with the article or sees "No Journeymen" as a misquote then it would never have made it to print.
