These last 2 performances and results both rest with team selection.

Choudhury shouldn’t be anywhere near our starting 11 against sides who don’t want to attack us. We effectively play a 5 - 1 - 4 when he’s in the side leaving Peck completely on his own in the middle. Against a team like Coventry who will come to try and win, he’s absolutely fine. When the opposition are content with letting us have the ball, he’s a detriment to the rest of the side and leaves us awfully lopsided.

Brereton-Diaz operates best from the left, where we seem to persist shoe-horning our most creative player. That being said, he also needs space to run into to be effective. These last 2 were crying out for JRS to be at them.

O’Hare really should have started ahead of Brewster.

For the love of fucking god, play Hamer in the middle. It’s actually sad how much we’re wasting a player of his ability.

We’ve gotten lucky tonight by Burnley not beating Derby, but we’re really running out of games to stay clear of the play offs.

Was so frustrating seeing Burrows totally isolated on the left because Hamer was standing next to Campbell. No idea why Wilder refuses to use the front 3 you've got there.

There was nothing wrong with the theory of going unchanged against Oxford. Choudhury dropping in with the defence is supposed to (and does) give the full backs freedom to attack but it leaves us with nothing in the middle as Brewster isn't a midfielder and doesn't drop deep enough to help out. The subs the other day didn't work, Rak Sakyi didn't really go wide or get involved enough, Souza didn't look fit, O'Hare tried to run through people, Moore didn't see enough of the ball, Cannon existed.

If Wilder wants to slag off the fans after that it's up to him, but if you're going to turn on the supporters, you need to prove them wrong. Instead he went with the same side again, with the same absence of midfield, then made similar subs that ended with a disjointed mess. Individually most of the players performed better today than against Oxford but as a team they were pretty hopeless aside from early in the second half.

Hamer is an 8, always has been and should be aside Vinni in CM.
You can then play BBD in his most effective position, get the best from COH and play JRS or Seriki on the right.
It will be more creative, offer more chances and even Cannon might notch.
