On bladesmad discussing NA team at Southampton and the basis of a good team was already

there when he took over, got me wondering what players did he bring to teams like Southampton,

Scunthorpe and reading, especially players nobody had heard of and developed into good players,

would be interested to know if anybody can name any.

Did he bring Sharp and Keogh to Scunthorpe?

BTL, I was asking what players Adkins had brought into clubs and had been successful

I know he wrongly gets credited for Morgan Schneiderlin.

Did a bit of in-depth digging into this and imo the Toblerone and can of Fanta bought from the newsagents on Shoreham Street last Monday stand out as his stellar purchases.

Mind you there is an opinion that the Toblerone may be past its sell by date.

If you look at the players that were signed for a transfer fee almost all of them were in the age range 20 to 23.
Exactly the type of young and hungry players that are needed for long term success.

So what that list of signings show is some misses, some ok and some great signings. I'd say it's a pretty good hit rate and shows barnyblade is talking rubbish.

The most worrying thing for me is not so much signings but how he has us playing.

Not really bothered about his previous signings for other clubs only in the ones he has brought to SUFC and that isn't good. Until he signs another seven we can't really judge him so I've been told.

Where did he fail? Reading. Who didn't he sign for Reading? Jonathan Forte. Dead God, we're going to have to sign Forte in order to get promoted

No one said that.
You invented that.

Many posters have said until he gets rid of the dross and brings in his own players we can't be too critical. How is that an invention. Many have also said there are good players in the 30+ squad with a few selective additions we will be on our way, well we have had 5 additions and still stuck in 2nd gear.

This thread title does sound like a corner shop. It might be a good business idea for our former manager.
