Your time with us is coming to an end, we are just tired of the positive spin you put on the absolute rubbish we have to endure week in and week out. The false propaganda is now getting embarrassing. We warm to people who tell it as it is, who sign players who will contribute, not just mates who need a last pay day ( Sharp aside).
We want a manager who is technically astute, who does not leave fans bewildered by crazy substitutions every week.
Our club has hit the floor now.....do the decent thing.

Wow. Not seen a thread on this forum about this subject at all today .

Did Adkins really put on his Twitter 5 games at home ? Then someone replied "it's 4 you fucking idiot can't even get that right"?

Still don't think Adkins is the problem.

We were shit before, we have got shitter with an incremental loss is player ability.

Adkins can only substitute shit players, with shit players.

Adkins can only voice club policy and won't risk damaging morale further.

I reckon if you were to speak to the bloke under Chatham House rules, he'd be a fucked off as us and welcome the exit of McCabe

pommpey

He has said that we are in a mess in a couple of interviews.... For example the 'worse before it gets better' interview.

He should stick to honest assessments though....

I have got to disagree. He is becoming a part of the problem.

He has only lost 1 player of ability this season (Murphy). All of the others, Adkins has sanctioned the moves.

Adkins HAS only substituted shit players with shitter players HE has wanted (Hammond/Woolford/Edgar etc)

Adkins picks the team, Adkins makes the substitutes, Adkins sets out the tactics and formations, Adkins is responsible for motivating the players, Adkins and his coaching team are responsible for getting the team ready for the upcoming games.

McCabe isn't the football manager and for all his faults, the blame cannot be laid at his door for what has turned out to be a piss poor manager.
McCabe appointed (or gave free reign to appoint) who we all thought was the best manager we could get - in this situation he seems damned if he does/damned if he doesn't. I, along with many others, thought that Adkins was a quality signing as manager. It just hasn't worked out at all this far.
I am by no means a McCabe apologist but he isn't accountable for the poor performance of this manager, who has failed in every sense to live up to the hype and expectation surrounding him.

So he hasn't played offensive formations resulting in us scoring more goals?

He has, but he has also played desperate "I'm on football manager and losing but need to win" formations when we are losing by banging on as many strikers as possible with no co-ordination to actually achieve anything.....particularly when we only have 1 good striker of note (Sharp).

Who would you bring off our bench in order to change shape or personnel when chasing a game?

It seems like the fans are definitely divided and entrenched in their opinions, barring a few drifters (mostly from INs to OUTs). Many of the arguments from the IN crowd are conceptual (continuity, long-term planning, faith, etc.) mixed in with a few (what I personally consider) unsound, apologetic points (not his players, he inherited an unmotivated and unfit squad, etc.). Many of the arguments from the OUT crowd are fact-based and can be supported by statistics. Both sides have merit but there's almost no point in arguing any more at this stage - we'll only get deeper entrenched. Quite depressing.

Erm... just!
2014/2015 goals per game: 1.43
2015/2016 goals per game: 1.44

Ok, fair point if your stats are accurate. Have we at least a better goal scored record at home?
I believe any fan resistance to Clough came from tedious home matches (I'd have given him until christmas at least) and boardroom resistance was due in part due to the playing style. Many of my friends were clamouring for 442 and I was in the minority telling them we didn't have the centre backs or centre midfielders to do it. Its probably the same people who now want this manager out for changing the style with many of the same players?

Yes, considerably better at home this season (1.8 per game this season vs 1.5 per game last season)
