Aston Villa, Sheffield United and West Ham are interested in 31-year-old former Argentina winger Nicolas Gaitan, whose contract at MLS side Chicago Fire runs out at the end of December. (Guardian)

Attacking midfielder/Winger who was previously at Benfica (where he was very highly regarded) and Atletico Madrid before his career has stalled somewhat. Still only 31 though so I'm sure Wilder could get a tune out of him for a year or two. Would give us a quality option in the 'Duffy role'. Free transfer but would want a big wage I'd imagine. Big question for me is how would he fit in to the squad, would the language barrier be an issue?
So could this be genuine interest, or agent talk?
