I like your stuff, it's different to the other podcasts and similar stuff on here. With yours, the focus is on the player and is all about the player and his experiences. Of course you chip in with your own views and personal experiences from time to time, but the emphasis and vast majority of the content is on the player.

Other podcasts/vlogs etc on here I can't really be doing with. If I wanted to listen to a group of blokes chat about the game and all things Sheffield United I'd just go down the pub (haha wishful thinking I know) with my mates and do it myself.

Monty was a top bloke, one of the best. I’ve met him on a few occasions when I went to the matches with my dad as a youngster and he always had time for the fans. My kind of player as well, he made the absolute most of what limited talent he had and no doubt retired from football with absolutely no regrets.

I once went for a drink with monty, quinn and a few others ....Monty was the only one not drinking .
When I inquired...he just came across as 100% committed to his profession.

Montys biggest problem was also his biggest quality. He had a massive heart and never hid even when things weren't going well unlike some ' more talented ' players , thus becoming the scapegoat for poor performances. Always 100%

Thank you. That's really kind of you to say. There's 4 more to come of these interviews with former players and I can honestly say the best one is a real surprise from a former striker who has kept his love of the Blades close to heart despite leaving in less than ideal circumstances.
