We've all been asking for a decent attacking midfielder since Brown left and we still haven't seen one yet, unless ultimately means in another 25 years. On that logic though I don't think fans were screaming out for monty before joined us or screaming out when he started as a promising winger for him to play in the middle as the warrior defensive midfielder he's turned out to be.
Quite how are you suggesting we should demand better? A letter to Blackwell, McCabe or the Star? An after match car park demonstration? Or shall more of us join in with the dickheads that boo him, mock his every touch and sing a song about him and rape?
nobody has given more for the blades since he's been with us, he's improving year on year and would play each week for most sides in this division. He was rock solid in the Premier league and we've seen what we get without him in the side a number of times. I'll be setting off in a minute happier this week than for the last month or so knowing that Monty will offer some protection at the back. Realistically we haven't got a chance of getting anyone better to fill the role he plays so are you suggesting we should just drop that role and play without anyone outside of the defence making a tackle all game?
Not much get's me angrier than the ability some people have in failing to recognise he does what he's paid to do and would rather just concentrate on abilities like shooting, heading and passing. I don't think his passing is as bad as what you often see from Henderson, Quinn or even Harper since he joined.
