He’s still tied by the umbilical to us. Can see him at his next club on the touch line stealing a sly look at our scores on his mobile, we score and he punches the air, to lots of strange looks

That’s a fantastic gesture by both of them and it will no doubt have meant a huge amount to the poor kid and hopefully given him a boost in his fight against that awful disease.

That type of humility was typical of and what endeared many people to Chris Wilder, I think he lost that a little as he was lauded by the media and even more so towards the end of his tenure as the pressure intensified. Good to see he appears to have rediscovered his old self.
