I don’t mind Rhodes, he’s been a good player over the years and one that any second tier club would love up front, due to his previous scoring record. Luckily he never got going with the pigs, which I think is hilarious.

If he weren’t a pig himself (I know his dad is a lifelong pig but not sure about him) I’d have had him in our side in a heartbeat.

I dont mind the odd wind up by an opposition player, but Rhodes did it twice and it was prolonged, which was a bit silly. Glad he ended up with egg on his face.

Football is still about theatre, and with that comes heroes and villains. He celebrates and when we nicked the win, I hope he got the stick for it and continues to do so. They’re not staff in a library, they’re performers in a show that thousands of people turn out to watch and it’s about getting the crowd going.

Doyle’s cockney walk in front of that lot a few years ago was exactly what we’d want to see and if one of our on loan boys scores against Wednesday, I’d want them to celebrate and wind them all up. We’d call him a legend for doing so.
