If you find yourself at a loose end on Saturday with the Blades not playing ....Sheffield FC are offering free entry for all Sheffield United season ticket holders to watch their game against Grantham. :) (More details in their post over on Sheffield forum ...wasn't sure if I could copy to this forum linz )

I seriously doubt linz and foxy would mind, so i've copy pasta'd the thread in question below.

With the blades not in action this weekend, Sheffield United season ticket holders are being invited to come and watch Sheffield FC for free on Saturday.

The club host Grantham Town at The BT Local Business Stadium in the Evo Stick Division One South encounter, kick off at 3pm.

Chris Dolby's men are currently 17th in the league, however have upto nine games in hand of other teams around them.

The postcode for the coach and horses ground is S18 2GD and for further information please contact 01246 292622.

Hope to see you there!

(And for non season ticket holders, our admission prices are just £6 Adults and £3 Concessions so why not come along and with the family for a great day out.)

I like the only response to the thread. Losers! :)
Hope this going to be offered to The Wednesday in the future too. I think it would be a good gesture. Thanks.

Superb gesture from Sheffield FC and if gets a few more poeple through the gate spending money then great!

Great initiative by Sheffield FC. Just a shame i'm not back in the UK this weekend.

I thought they'd given us our £100k back for a minute.

Good stuff though - anyone with any sense will go back more often.

If anybody would like free entry to any Dronfield Town FC fixtures then PM me.

Having started life as a modest junior club, our first team currently ply their trade in the Central Midlands League, a couple below Sheffield FC, but we are hoping to catch them up in time subject to getting our ground grading up!

Why on earth would they give or would we want that 100k back?

Why does every post that you make nowadays need to be a dig at the club.

I preferred reading your posts when Blackwell was in charge.

I'd rather pop down and watch Chesterfield or Sheffield FC

Relax bud, it's Friday.

Free to get in and the game called off due to a frozen pitch, typical. As was Handsworth v Eccleshill, which I found out about at ten-to-three when I arrived at Oliver's Mount to find the gates locked. Very nearly went over to Dronfield instead but thankfully went to Old Crown instead. Met up with a few loyal Handsworth Blades in there, who I've had some great United trips with over the years. They've just about talked me into a few away trips with Handsworth - next stop Hemsworth, then Louth.
