The next young player that we hope comes through will be Nicky Travis.

Travis has looked ahead of both Law and SQuinny at times so if he keeps up his development we should see him around the squad this season.

He can play both wings and in the middle and we've also seen him as a full back.

Heard Travis has been playing well.

Others that have caught my attention are, Mellis,Askham,Boden(got 3 other day apparently) and Robertson.

Think you are forgetting about a certain Mr Forte and Hurst.

I wouldnt give up on either yet, Hurst against Prem teams in the cup was outstanding and Forte has been very good for doncaster this season.

Is Ross still with us permanently, just gone out on loan? Or has he gone for good?

Our young players on loan are Ross, Forte and Hurst, all on long-term loans, and Jordan Robertson, on a one month loan at Torquay.

Next youngster to break through to the first team? No idea, ther are a lot of good players at the academy. It's well worth a trip up on a saturday morning to watch them play.

How's Gyaki doing these days??

To be honest, I don't think Forte has a future with the blades.

i used to go to school with james ashmore.... :D

It's great to see how Nicky Law and Squinny have managed to break into the first team, I'd like to see Travis breaking into the team next. The future's bright. :)

If Forte was to be played upfront and not on the left wing then we might be on to something.

He is a very good player.

Yeah he has played up front for Donny loads, and does well.

"If Forte was to be played upfront and not on the left wing then we might be on to something."

hes got more chance of getting into the first team playing on the left.

up front, he's not going to get in front of webber, hulse, nade, kabba, CKR,

If you are out on long-term loan and over 20yrs it is likely the first step out the door. When 'kids' like Law S. Quinn and Travis appear it becomes even more likely. Despite the media $1M price tag the likes of Billy Sharpe would be a major gamble for a premiership team.

Then pop into the Timbers for a quick pint.

Proper Blades pub an all.

Think it still has a sign above the door when you go in, NO PIGS ALLOWED :D
