Club haven't said anything yet. My guess though would be we get a reveal on Fri 24th July. We'll need an alternative shirt for the friendly at Rotherham on the 25th, and they won't want fans first look to be when the players run out for kick off.

I might get some stick for this because it's Wednesdays but their Umbro kit is about ten times better than our template crap. If this was in red n white like the equivalent kit we had in the mid 80's I'd absolutely love it. Proof that some manufacturers do produce traditional striped shirts still.

My point was more about templates. People whinge about them now and say adidas are the biggest culprits around, but templates have always been a thing.

United and Weds had the same Home AND away kits back in the 80s. Templates are nothing new.

I’ve seen people say our current kit is based on Fenerbahce’s new template. Even if it is, ours adds the pinstripes and the colourway is different enough that it doesn’t feel like a template. The new kit’s class and I’m not bothered if it looks similar to another adidas kit.

But then the bounce killer shirt that many say is Adidas' best kit for us, was the same template as Bayern that season. Wonder if Bayern fans had a hissy fit

I’m just hoping the shoulder stripes are varied rather than just black. Red, black, red but I can’t see it being the case. From the pic posted by Westran, it’s the same template as the Salford away shirt. That has the adidas EQT logo on though whereas Ricardo Mantelban said ours has the trefoil. I was hoping we’d get one of the classier looking collared trefoil templates adidas used for the La Liga retro weekend.

Could also possibly be this template. Collar ties in much better with the trefoil in terms of the 80’s adidas shirts.
