Sponsorship isn’t for promotion for that type of brand (who hasn’t heard of McLaren?) it’s for hospitality. As principle sponsor you get treated like royalty at the club, meet and great the players, managers, slap up meal and drinks etc… they’ll use it for schmoozing customers, suppliers and dealerships.
Are McLaren that desperate for Burger and Chips and a bottle of Peroni in the Banner Cross Hotel with a bit of table dancing thrown in.

I think its important to support the club but damn it looks like the new kits will be pricey.
Fingers crossed our prices are more reasonable!

Honestly shirts are just simply unreasonable now. I would like to give money to the club but not when I feel like I'm being entirely shafted.

A cheap replica from DH gate is not close to bad enough to stop me buying it and in all my years I don't recall a time anyone asked me if my united shirt was official or not.

Once upon a time they were 50 quid and even that was bad enough but I bought them anyway, these days they can eat shit. I'm sure my lack of purchase won't hurt the club anywah but there must be more like me.

I always buy the shirts. Ive sunk way too much money into it but I work from home 3/4 days so just wear the shirts all the time anyway.

Had no intention of buying the purple one. But a drunken remark at the pompey home game along the lines of "if we win this ill buy the bloody shirt..." well I had to honour it.

Still got some Adidas tennis shirts and track tops made in Germany and Yugoslavia.

Incredible quality and look like they're barely a year old let alone 30 plus, unless you look at the tags or lining.

Imagine how much the shirts would be if they were still made in Europe though 😳
