Next season is a strange old one. Can't see any of the relegated teams getting automatic. I expect Boro and Leicester to be strong and I think that Reading and particularly QPR will be good bets. Then there are a bunch of average sides who challenge the play offs (Cardiff, Swansea, Blackpool).
Can't see us being anywhere near the top (or play offs). That is based on there being no change at the helm though. Everyone keeps saying we are 6 players away from being a decent team. I agree with this, but have no confidence that Blackwell can achieve this. We might be left with a good core to the squad, but I would be amazed if Blackwell brought in more than 2 or 3 decent signings.
We face tough times ahead. Even if we bring someone new in then what are the chances they are going to be succesful strasight away? Pretty slim I'd say.
Sorry to seem pessimistic. Actulally, fuck it, I'm not. We are facing bleak times regardless and next season is not going to be a good one. The division might be shit, but so are we. We don't even have enough contracted players to put out a team!? Take your red and white specs off and face up to the fact that we'll be lucky to finish in the top half next season.
